Neon Jungle formed in Feb last year, they were put together by Jane Collins who also put The Saturdays and The Wanted together. A year later they are the most edgy and hyped about girl band in the UK, not only in the UK but outside it as well. 'Braveheart' debuted at #4 on the UK Singles Chart selling 60k+ in its first week (what an injustice! :cry:). And now it's looking to be certified silver in a matter of weeks! 'Braveheart' is also smashing in Australia where it's currently #18 on iTunes with no promo whatsoever!

 

I thought I could open a thread about their upcoming debut album, who is excited?! By the looks of things we could have the album by the time 'Welcome To The Jungle' is released! :w00t:

We have more or less finished the album as well which will be making an appearance soon

Been working in the studio with Anita Blay (Cocknbullkid) and Fear of Tigers

 

We don’t want the product to end up this boring thing that has no sense of being or character. We are what we are. We want the album to kind of have a flavour of diversity All four of us are such different individuals and we describe ourselves as four solo artists in a way. We don’t slot in to the stereotypical girl group, we will produce a whole range of stuff. Our music is quite stripped back and raw but we want to keep it real and we want something people can relate to.

 

Big things to come! Fans of The Saturdays and Little Mix may as well jump ship while they still can! :cheer:

Really liked Trouble and absolutely adore Braveheart! Excited for more from them, I think they have real potential. Still shocked at the success of Braveheart tbh, given I hardly hear it anywhere other than when I personally play it.

Imagine the success they will have once they do some TV and radio promo, hopefully they're a name enough to do that with Welcome To The Jungle so that it can get them that all-important #1! :cheer:

I think Capital will continue to support them, not so sure about Radio 1 though.

They've definitely surprised me with their success, after how 'Trouble' performed I wasn't actually expecting much from 'Braveheart' (until I saw how it was doing on pre-orders anyway). Both singles are great though and I am really excited to hear more.

Capital have already dropped 'Braveheart' from their playlist though, so disappointed! And I agree on Radio 1, 'Welcome To The Jungle' will have to be immense for them to A-list it.

 

A friend of mine actually saw them perform it at a gig when they were still promoting 'Trouble' last year and she said it was the crowd favourite, but they've probably snitched up a bit in the studio since then and the snippet sounds phenomenal, the only thing that has me worried is that they've described it to be a RAP SONG in their interviews and the rap on 'Braveheart' didn't go down too well with many people and critics :drama:

Definitely anticipating this album! 'Braveheart' is my favourite song of 2014 thus far, so hopefully the rest of their material is of a similar or even better standard. :D

Omg they're working with Cocknbullkid :wub: Love her. Can't wait for this naturally, after Trouble and Braveheart were both fabulous.

As much as I still and will always love The Saturdays, Neon Jungle are just :wub:

 

Welcome to the Jungle will smash, no doubt, and the album shouldn't fare to badly either, as long as it's release is fairly close.

The girls are getting that overseas promo! :cheer:

OMG Asami HAS to be my favourite, although Shereenlooks absolutely stunning there, Ugh they're all so amazing. :wub:

I know it's crazy but they remind me of All Saints. Like Asami is the Melanie Blatt of the group, Amira is like Shaznay, and Jess + Shereen are like the Appleton sisters except they're not blonde but have big hair. I'm not sure if people will understand what I'm saying though but I just get that impression. :lol:

My only problem with them is they feel quite anonymous, my friend always thinks Braveheart is just a random dance song or by The Saturdays :lol: They need to do more promo appearances and have their faces on their artwork I think!

Asami is absolutely flawless. Her voice gives me chills.

 

Also I definitely agree it wouldn't do the girls any harm getting their faces out there a bit more, as a band they are quite un-known. If I was to ask my friends 'Have you heard that song called Braveheart?' I'm sure they'd all say yes, but if I were to ask them if they'd heard of Neon Jungle most of them wouldn't have a clue.

Hopefully they sort out a bit of promo for Welcome To The Jungle, even if it's just a few interviews. :)

I like brave heart but it'll be a shame if they get snubbed by radios this time around :(

Let's hope they won't do a Mini Viva, and we get an album from them.

Judging by the preview, Welcome To the Jungle could rival Braveheart as my favourite NJ song!
