October 26, 20186 yr LOVED BY THE BBC Wait until she's then new big presenter, Rochelle will be FUMING.
October 26, 20186 yr She won Silver for Best New Presenter at the ARIA Awards (aka the radio awards) Not to discredit her but I’m not sure how  Well she has received a lot of praise and tbh she deserved it
October 26, 20186 yr I've got to say shes been a lot more instant to like as a presenter than Rochelle was; she took AGES for me to like as a presenter.
October 27, 20186 yr So happy to see her thriving after the Sats breakup and the disappointing solo attempts. She's a lot easier to relate to and root for than Rochelle I think.
December 1, 20186 yr what solo career? She didn't realise any music? She's just a radio presenter following The Saturdays.
December 2, 20186 yr It's the fullest I've heard it, but why on earth why didn't she just go for this as a follow up? 1ToU7k_yAdQ
January 27, 20196 yr New interview and photoshoot for YOU magazine inside Mail on Sunday today: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/home/you/articl...ollie-King.html It's pleasing to see her do so well presenting with Matt on Radio 1 and to be happy with that but...the thought of her not doing anything performing wise with music anymore and feeling a bit out of love with it because of how her solo career didn't take off makes me a bit sad. We can all make easy jokes about it, sure, but I've said this before and I'll say it again: all The Saturdays looked like they enjoyed it but Mollie struck me as the one who loved everything about being a popstar and performing. I'll never forget on their last tour at Wembley Arena when she sang a bit of Britney during 'Disco Love' and she was so in her element, and as a fan of theirs and her in particular it was really quite a special moment to watch.
January 27, 20196 yr Mollie is the presenter of the greatest dancer on bbc! That’s huuuugeee She’s not? It’s Alesha Dixon and Jordan Bango. Think she just presents a weekly podcast on it or something..
January 28, 20196 yr We can all make easy jokes about it, sure, but I've said this before and I'll say it again: all The Saturdays looked like they enjoyed it but Mollie struck me as the one who loved everything about being a popstar and performing. I'll never forget on their last tour at Wembley Arena when she sang a bit of Britney during 'Disco Love' and she was so in her element, and as a fan of theirs and her in particular it was really quite a special moment to watch. It was so cute! I agree it is quite sad, it is a savage industry in all fairness. Hopefully in regards to a reunion she would have that excitement again. It would be so easy to create Sats comeback hype and get another hit. Call Ina, Kamille and Priscilla!!
January 28, 20196 yr Glad she's doing well with Radio 1! It's a shame how her solo career went, given that music is such a passion of hers, but hopefully someday she'll get to experience performing again with The Saturdays. She'd have been a perfect solo popstar in the early 2000s!
February 5, 20196 yr This is great for her! And love that her and Marvin are on it together. Rylan Clark-Neal, Mollie King and Marvin Humes confirmed as the expert judges for Eurovision: You Decide Eurovision super-fan Rylan Clark-Neal returns to the United Kingdom’s selection show Eurovision: You Decide after impressing viewers last year, joining pop star and BBC Radio 1 DJ Mollie King, and DJ, pop star and presenter Marvin Humes. Coming to BBC Two on Friday 8 February at 7.30pm. This year sees a change to the judging panel for Eurovision: You Decide, with the new expert judges helping the UK public to decide the winner. After all six acts have performed in the ‘Song-Off’ the expert judges will decide which three acts and version of each song will go forward to face the public vote. The three final acts will then perform one more time before the voting lines are opened, and the public chooses which song and performer will represent the United Kingdom at the Eurovision Song Contest 2019. No stranger to performing, Mollie King has been one fifth of the multi-platinum-selling girl band The Saturdays since 2007, with the group selling more than five million records worldwide, scoring 13 Top 10 singles and five Top 10 albums. She was also a Strictly Come Dancing 2017 contestant, and more recently became a BBC Radio 1 DJ, co-hosting the BBC Radio 1 weekend breakfast show with Matt Edmondson. DJ, producer, and broadcaster Marvin Humes has experienced staggering success over his 14-year career. As well as being part of boy band JLS and achieving chart success he’s also a successful DJ, playing sets in Ibiza, performing in Vegas and hosting his own show on Capital FM, where he interviews some of the biggest names in the music industry. Eurovision super-fan Rylan Clark-Neal joined the Eurovision family last year after impressing fans with his in-depth knowledge and love for the contest, both as co-host of BBC Four’s Eurovision semi-final coverage in Lisbon and guest judge on BBC Two’s Eurovision: You Decide 2018. He also recently took over Zoe Ball’s Radio 2 Saturday show. Mollie King says: “I’m so excited to be part of the judging panel for Eurovision: You Decide this year. Eurovision is a huge event in the music calendar every year so it’s a real honour to have a say, alongside Marvin and Rylan, in which song and which artist has the all-important job of representing the UK this year in Tel Aviv – I wish them all the best of luck!” Marvin Humes says: “I have so many great memories of watching Eurovision from growing up, so being able to help decide who will represent the United Kingdom this year is very exciting! I know what it feels like to perform live for the public and a judging panel so hopefully I can bring that experience on the night.” Rylan Clark-Neal says: “I’m so excited to be back on the judging panel for Eurovision: You Decide and back in the Eurovision family! I’ve been a life-long fan and take it very seriously so it’s a real honour to help the public decide who we choose to send to the main contest in May. I think it will be really interesting as well to see how the different acts perform the different versions of the songs.” Eurovision: You Decide, hosted by Mel Giedroyc and Måns Zelmerlöw, will air on Friday 8 February on BBC Two at 7.30pm. It is a co-commission between BBC Entertainment and BBC Music. The Executive Producer for BBC Studios is Mel Balac and the Series Producer is Lee Smithurst. The Commissioning Editor for the BBC is Rachel Ashdown.
February 18, 20196 yr Don't think it's been mentioned already but Mollie was on Ken Bruce's show on Radio 2 a couple of weeks ago choosing her 'Tracks of My Years'. It's still on BBC Sounds/iPlayer and all the usual places for another three weeks, would highly recommend: https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m0002c4t Her choices, incidentally: - Paolo Nutini - Last Request - Florence & The Machine - Hunger - Lady Antebellum - Need You Now - The Saturdays feat. Flo Rida - Higher - Joan Osborne - One Of Us - Andy Williams - The Impossible Dream - Whitney Houston - Queen of the Night - Take That - Never Forget - Britney Spears - Baby One More Time - Kylie Minogue - The Loco-Motion - Rihanna - Unfaithful
February 18, 20196 yr Bless her for thinking higher peaked at #4 Higher doesn’t sound dated at all! I know bless her cottons :D And it really hasn't, has it? Even now when it gets played on the radio it still sounds fresh. I reckon had they not messed around with the release schedule for that they'd have number one easily.
