Leader of the RMT Bob Crowe has died suddenly aged 52. :o Doubt there'll be many tears shed by London Tube travellers but he was a man who fought hard for his convictions and beliefs. He apparently liked his food and drink and was overweight so maybe a heart attack. R.I.P.

wow shock!! It was only a few weeks ago I was berating him for his stance with TFL. Every time I go into a tube station all the staff are sitting around doing very little and / or talking to their co-workers and its never job related as I have overheard a few of the conversations! Also they negotiated 52k for a tube driver and im sure they will strike again once driverless tubes (which are present in other countries) come in...

So on that premise I am not a fan of his but looking at what he has done he did fight his ground and make sure that the working class had a voice. Not only that he got them some healthy pay packets when private sector firms where cutting pay and laying off people...

As much as I didn't agree with some of his views, hugely respectable man. Fought for what he believed in and did a great deal for his members which is all you can ask really.
