She's totez the Madonna of the show tho

Can u f***ing not though.

Madonna doesn't say she's sorry for every little thing she's done ever in her life.

That's a really important part of her character tbh especially toward the end of season two and into season three, it puts emphasis on the fact she's never really been able to take time to get over things, initially with her dad and then like the other stuff that happens...

Shes annoying but SO essential

is she really essential tho?

nah she did nothing to help move the plot, always seemed to be a background easily replaced character :)

(I kinda agree with lotti oop, there's been better main characters in other shows, Raven shoulda been the main character tbh)

she's such a BORING main character. i can't like her in the slightest

Piper Chapman teas

YES she can be annoying but really all characters can be a little irritating. Her pro's definitely outweigh her cons though and I think she's a brilliant lead character and Eliza portrays her perfectly. There's always a reason to why she appologises so much or why she's constantly doing things for 'her people'. Clarke is actually pretty complex when you think about it. She's protective over the ones she loves and is always doing what she believes to be the right thing. She's creative, intelligent, loving and loyal, all traits that make her a great leader too, she really cares about her people, even after all the shit they give her. That's all before you even consider that she's bisexual, I know that alone doesn't define her but t100 have played off the fact she's the only - or at least one of the very few - bisexual characters to feature in a lead role. She's good representation (hopefully they don't erase all that progression season two and three had with that in season four though which I can see happening as a lot of stigmas end up becoming cannon in a lot of things with bi rep unfortunately :()

Preach, this post is so spot on. Actually quite shocked to see Clarke getting a hard time here. :o

Imo Jasper was THE VERY WORST this season, so can everyone target hate towards that character, thank you.

tbh I was rather fond of him for a while in the earlier series but he kinda just got boring and faded into the background so to speak, but I don't hate him (or many other characters at all really)

Jasper was such a waste this season and I really could have done without him, he was good in season one and two because of his dynamic with Monty, they were the duo that offered comic relief really but there was basically none of that in season three :(

I've seen a few people on Tumblr arguing that Wells Jaha basically should have had Jasper's storyline/character arc but still always have been Clarke's best friend etc, he had more potential as a character than Jasper ever has and it would have been more interesting to see him dealing with his girlfriends death at Mount Weather, blaming Clarke and what not, given that they were so close it just would have been better.

List of characters to hate before Clarke:

Jasper

Pike

Jaha

Ali

Ontari

BELLAMY

The Ice Queen

Literally anyone except Lexa, Raven and Octavia

tbh I kinda want to do a character rate now so if anyone would be interested pls say so and I can just run it in this thread if enough people want it? ;o
