I'm honestly not sure this month besides the fact that I think it's probably going to be a three-horse race! I think Altyr might just edge out in front because it will probably have more crossover appeal than the other two.

 

No shade to the songs at the bottom, some of my favourites are down there! Got to go with the hype though!

Lol, if I do actually win that would be AWFUL given I'd have zero time to host. I really do think it's being over-predicted because lots of similar stuff has done very well, but if I can finally break the top 3 that would be amazing all the same.

I can't see myself or John winning (sorry John), I really think Wonky will be quite a comfortable winner, picking up a large amount of 12s.

I'm almost certain Peking Duk are walking this but failing that Orbital have a pretty decent chance too. Cannot see anything else winning.

Ugh, if WONKY wins I will despair. It's so unspeakably awful.

I've not listened to the semi 2 tracks yet admittedly, but at this point, I'm definitely feeling a win for Aeroche. I think it will appeal to pretty much all types of voter and that video will definitely stick in a few people's minds.

i'd very much love 'wonky' to win (who doesn't wanna win?), but i didn't expect it to be a winner when i confirmed it, maybe top 5/10 at absolute best. if i'd known it was gonna get this type of hype i wouldn't have put it on the backburner for all of my 20 contests to date!

I just don't know where this idea of 'High' walking it has come from and that's not just complete pessimism as I thought 'Shadow Of The Sun' could win when I sent it last year.

 

There doesn't seem to be any apparent hype apart from people jumping on the idea that it'll win, so I'm not even convinced it's got a particular amount of fans. Preparing myself for an Aeroche comfortable win, and a top 5 miss for moi.

I genuinely think you've found a song WORSE than that Unicorn Kid abomination. For that you truly do deserve some kind of prize.

Aeroche really do have the BJSC je ne sais quoi that I used to have five years ago - smash after smash. I never base odds on a country's past form, so the fact that Aeroche always come out close to the top of mine is testament to their song choices as opposed to their reputation for success. Wonky isn't my favourite entry of theirs but it's another high quality entry that once again is among the best in the contest so kudos to Leww!

I feel like I go down for the final in Rich's odds literally every contest (that I qualify for), with the notable exception of Truls. :(

 

I can understand going down this time though as I'm sure the only reason I had odds any better than that in the first place was due to Leww's rather misguided placing Surkin above the line :lol: If only. I'm just hoping to do better than last month's disappointment but I won't hold my breath for even that ~ Yay for qualifying.

You're both still top half in my odds and will do well!

 

I don't base my odds on Leww's or anybody else's, I do them in a word document before looking at any others that have been posted and then copy and paste them in here! It was a coincidence that our top end odds were similar in the opening set, sometimes they differ vastly!

It may not have a lot of massive vocal support (PEKING DUK HYPE EVERYONE PLZ) but I thought it sounded like a winner from first listen and listening to the rest of this edition has made me even more confident of that as very few other nations have songs with wide appeal this month, which 'High' has in droves. I would have thought at least ~
