March 28, 201411 yr Author Righty ho. Once a week or so, I will be posting a single/performance/tour/movie/etc. related to our Kylie and we'll all discuss it. Sound fun? Good. Week 1: Single Flashback - Get Outta My Way http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/b/b6/Get_Outta_My_Way_(Kylie_Minogue_Single_Cover).jpg Released: September 2010 Get Outta My Way served as the second single from #1 album Aphrodite. The song failed to be as big as previous single All The Lovers, being the first physical single since Breathe that missed the top 10 for Kylie when it peaked at #12. It was her lowest peaking single ever in Australia. GOMW was written and produced by Lucas Secon, Damon Sharpe, Peter Wallevik, Daniel Davidsen and Cutfather, and co-produced by Stuart Price. In an interview with HitQuarters, Secon described the track as "sexy electro disco with some clever lyrics and some real catchy melodies." He said the song wasn't written for any particular artist and at one point four different artists wanted to cut it as their first single before it was claimed by Minogue. I picked this song because like Into The Blue it peaked at #12 and fell to 31 the next week. I also happen to adore this song and it remains one of my all time fave singles from Kylie. March 29, 201411 yr I still love 'Get Outta My Way', it's got such a great vibe and energy. I love the rousing chorus.
April 2, 201411 yr Author What would y'all want this week? Song, album, movie, tour etc? Or something totally random?
April 4, 201411 yr Author Week 2: Movie Flashback - Biodome (1996) http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/a/a1/BioDomeposter.jpg "The plot of the film revolves around two clumsy, dim-witted slackers who, while on a road trip, look for a toilet stop in what they believe is a shopping mall, which in fact turns out to be a "bio-dome", a form of a closed ecological system in which five scientists are to be hermetically sealed for a year. The film has themes of environmentalism, combined with substance abuse, sexual innuendo, and toilet humor." OH YES. We're looking back on this...."movie". I have been unlucky enough to watch it, I honestly don't know why. Bless her, Kylie is a decent actress, but even with the red hair, she is no Amy Adams. Worst still, she had an affair with Pauly Shore. The lowest point in Kylie's career? Possibly. Still, if you wanna see her do some suggestive stuff with a carrot, go ahead and watch this, or, watch that bit on youtube.
