It's a bit late now but Hideaway and Nobody to Love have probably lost out massively due to illegal downloads, should have been released earlier!

 

Looks like 5SOS will be either 10/11 this week, the number 1 effect seems to be helping them.

I know alot of people in the music industry are stupid and reactionary. it was the same when downloads came in too they didnt react until sales went very low.

 

Hideaway has been no1 on the shazam chart for ages too which is a good indicator. So many people i know try to do the right thing by buying a download but its hard to defend when a song isnt available for 6 weeks after radio first premieres them and its even worse with worldwide releases held back here. Just look at Summer by Calvin Harris last week - it was powering up the chart until it was removed now its fallen to no 120 on pre orders. Its clear pre orders gain a few buyers but most will just look elsewhere for the song when its not there.
