What About Us should have passed 400,000 by then! :D

I love the artwork too! It's very "The Saturdays".

The lead single from this MUST smash.

YES! Excited for 3 new tracks! Hope they're good ones, maybe at least one of those Xenomania tracks just for the sake of it. Literally pray they choose a great lead single, one that defines them, you know.

Forever is Over and Notorious might get closer to 200k.

Plus, if "What About Us" hasn't reached 400k by then, it will. Maybe even "Ego", "Up" and "Higher" could get significant boosts towards 400k?

Could remind the public these songs exist and are classics

As for the three extra, there is always one bad one - look at Kelly's Greatest Hits

That's a FANTASTIC track list but I have an awful feeling that this greatest hits means that the end of The Sats is approaching :(

NO

Something Girls Aloud NEVER said, they said 'We've made no plans, we'll see what happens'

Anyone wanna place a bet on when the 'oh they must be splitting up' statements start then? :kink:

Not a fan but possibly!

I would love them to release other albums after the GH and then we can get another GH album in a few years :w00t:

Well tbf, I'm normally a bit more optimistic with these girls, but I'm really not sure about this one :( I hope it is more a "The Sound of Girls Aloud" release, where they intend to carry on after, rather than a "Ten" release where it's BYE BYE after the tour.

Yeah I get you, I hope it's not the end as I want some more bops

Personally, I think this is gonna be more "Sound of Girls Aloud" than "Ten". I think The Saturdays have a few more years of life in them yet. Especially, if this Greatest Hits era is a big success. They'd be stupid not to continue.

And I think the bigger songs of their career such as Issues, Ego and Higher may renew interest in them a little bit.
I think, if Greatest Hits is a success, - Even to a headlines level, they will 100% continue. If they fall on their arses and chart at 23 and sell 20k of the album, they'll have no choice but to split.

Putting a downer on the mood there but very realistic! :(

In general, though, I can't see this being worse than the LFTW era, and think they have every intention of continuing on.

The press release says they are getting in the studio later in the year to record their fifth album.

As I see it, if the GH and tour sell decently they'll continue. If they don't even get a new hit single out of this then there's no point, really.

But at least the door is open. With GA's Ten tour they always knew that was the end. They actually wanted it to be the end. Here we have the option of continuing.

That was what I was thinking, but there really is no indication of splitting anytime soon. They've had 5 albums and that's usually when artists release their greatest hits, well it's usually the 5th album that is the greatest hits though.

Despite that, Kimberley stated at the time that she never saw Girls Aloud splitting, and then claimed later that it was always going to be the end. So you never really know IMO.

Still though, I think Joe summed it up. If it's a hit, they'll continue, no doubt. And I can see it doing quite well actually. If it flops, then splitting is their only choice really, it won't put them in all that good a position. :(

Considering they don't have an array of platinum albums to their name, Greatest Hits will be an easily marketed lazy buy for causal buyers, and a must-have for fans. I expect they'll do some decent promo for it, too. I predict that it'll sell between 100 - 200k.
