Not surprising really, it honestly is such a masterpiece! Lead single 'Live While We're Young' gave us one of their most energetic singles coupled with such an amazing, fun and vibrant video (and a GIF that's never to be forgotten, Adam knows what I'm talking about x). 'Little Things' is one that seems to divide the fans. There are those who think it's a wonderful ballad and that the boys do it beautifully, then there are those who think it would probably have been better left as a deluxe track on Ed Sheeran's début album '+'. However, it was a single and it slots into their back catalogue just nicely. Third single 'Kiss You' is one that goes down a treat with the fans at live concerts and it's probably in the top 3 of fan favourites that are considered classics in their discography. It's a bit of a shame that there wasn't a fourth single from this era (despite 'Rock Me' being heavily rumoured at some point). There are plenty tracks that would have made for excellent choices - 'Heart Attack', 'Back For You', etc - all fabulous songs. Or is it maybe better that they were left as album tracks so it's more to enjoy as opposed to a wide range of singles to enjoy, openly available? Whatever it is, 'Take Me Home' is certainly the perfect blend of pop punch, pop balladry and PROGRESSION. Thoughts? Is 'Take Me Home' One Direction's best album? Commet below and let us know! Thanks very much to Jáhq for posting the thread and to Joseph for calculating the results! See you soon for another special rate!
April 20, 201411 yr Perfect results really. Like Calum I very rarely find myself going back to 'Up All Night' whereas 'Take Me Home' has so many gems on there. 'Midnight Memories' is probably technically and critically their best, but I much prefer them doing more pop-orientated stuff.
April 20, 201411 yr I think the only thing I'm not that keen on with 'Midnight Memories' is the experimental folk sound they go for with 'Through the Dark'. Could easily be replaced with an amazing pop song (same with 'Something Great' really, as nice as that is).
