So McBusted have confirmed in the last few days that a joint album will be coming from them after they finish their tour. They apparently went away together for some secret writing sessions at the start of this year, which went so well they're now recording together. I don't know what this means for McFly's 6th album that was meant to be out after 'Love.is on the Radio' came out but this is still rather exciting. Be certainly nice to hear James and Matt on record again.

Also in the last couple of weeks Fearne Cotton has confirmed she's been with the lads at their tour rehearsals and will be hosting a new documentary on their tour for ITV which will air later in the year - can't wait for that!

Would of thought they would have released a week earlier. There's no way they'll be number 1 with Take That's album releasing the same day.

Air Guitar is also coming out the same day as These Days. :(

Why does one of them have green hair? Some of those song titles sound awful, but let's see how it goes.
Oh dear at Matt's hair  and oh dear at some of those song titles  I'm sure the album will be alright though!
'What Happened to Your Band' was apparently written by James (of Busted) after they split up. Fresh album.

My order has been dispatched! Really, REALLY looking forward to listening to it!!! :D

My signed album came on Saturday, only got it from my neighbour yesterday, but only had chance to listen today!

My first listen thoughts!

07.0 'Air Guitar' >> I still like this, but only as a "good album track". Everything else I heard prior to the album release was better! <<

09.0 'I Hate Your Guts'

10.0 'What Happened To Your Band' >> This should have lead the campaign, imo. With 'Get Over It' 2nd and then 'I Hate Your Guts' 3rd. <<

09.0 'Get Over It'

07.0 'Riding On My Bike' >> HOLY AUTO TUNE BATMAN (gives Chris Brown's DWMU a good run!!). It sounds like it'd sit well on the 'Wreck-It Ralph' soundtrack though. <<

10.0 'Gone' >> MY JAM RIGHT NOW TBH. <<

08.0 'Sensitive Guy'

08.5 'Beautiful Girls Are the Loneliest'

08.0 'Before You Knew Me'

07.5 'Back In Time'

07.0 'How's My Hair'

06.0 'Getting It Out'

06.5 '23:59'

07.0 'In Da Club'

07.5 'I See Red'

This album. SLAYS ME. Not as many highs as a standard Busted album has, but it's just as strong!! I'm so happy they've got an album! 'Air Guitar' is just filler material in comparison to the rest of the album! Baffling to see why they led with that! :(

I would have gone:

01. 'What Happened To Your Band'

02. 'Get Over It'

03. 'I Hate Your Guts'

04. 'Gone'

Not heard all the album yet - have got my copy waiting in my Amazon cloud, just haven't downloaded it yet. Will do tonight - but am LOVING 'Get Over It'. Best choice for next single by far, can see it being a great radio record.

'Get Over It' is brilliant and it definitely should have been the first single. However, as a huge fan of both Busted and McFly, I have to say that on first listen of the album, I'm a bit disappointed. Sure, there are a handful of great tracks, but about half the songs are forgettable, filler material. 'Riding On My Bike' is pretty awful tbh.

Having said all that, I'm going to give it a second listen tomorrow, maybe some of the songs just need time to grow... it's a shame though as I was hoping it would be a lot more instant.

Track 12 intrigues me the most...

Mind out of gutter!

I finally got around to hearing the album and it's extremely catchy. I'm on my 6th listen in one day. I See Red is my favourite for now!

Had this in rotation over the past week, it's all a lot better than "Air Guitar" suggests.

My highlights are "Sensitive Guy" and "Beautiful Girls Are The Loneliest". I also love "How's My Hair?", it sounded so ridiculous on first listen but it's kinda relatable.

Yeah it's a very nice album! I would say Beautiful Girls is the only one I don't like, but I LIVE for Sensitive Guy, What Happened to Your Band and the last 4 tracks.
Oh YES at the 'Sensitive Guy' love. It's really creeped up on me these last couple of days. Such a brilliant song. 'Gone' is still my firm favourite, but I'm loving the album more and more with every listen.
