Posted April 10, 201411 yr BILLBOARD: 'Frozen' Aiming for 10th Week Atop Billboard 200 Billboard (April 9th 2014): Disney's "Frozen" movie soundtrack is about to enter rare air on the Billboard 200 chart. The hit soundtrack, which has spent nine nonconsecutive weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, is heading for a 10th week atop the list -- so suggest industry forecasters. It would seem likely for the set to sell more than 100,000 in the week ending April 13. Next week's Billboard 200 chart won't likely see a new No. 1, but there could be some notable debuts in the top 10. Rock band Black Label Society's "Catacombs of the Black Vatican" might sell 25,000 to 30,000 to debut in the top 10, while singer SoMo may start with around 25,000 of his self-titled album. MercyMe's new "Welcome to the New" could sell 20,000 or so, as could Martina McBride's covers album "Everlasting." http://www.billboard.com/articles/news/604...p-billboard-200

April 12, 201411 yr Very small sales drop for Frozen, could be over 100k next week too. Good for Shakira getting a third week top 10!
April 12, 201411 yr Author Looking at the pre-order albums on iTunes, the only other album that I can see dethroning Frozen is Coldplay - and that's all the way in May!!
April 13, 201411 yr Not sure whether this is referring to all soundtracks in general or just Disney, but the 'Lion King' soundtrack spent 10 weeks at the top if I remember reading that right last week. (I can't remember whether they stated it was the last soundtrack to do it, or whether they meant just Disney)

April 13, 201411 yr Author What's the longest a Soundtrack has spent at #1? I'm guessing it's Titanic? There's also The Bodyguard, but I'm not sure if that's comparable.
