SHOCKED at the radio airplay. I had no idea it was so bad. How did all their albums go platinum?!

3,943,000 single sales going by the estimates in here (rounded to the nearest 1,000 where necessary)! That's obviously excluding many trickle sales since the last totals, as well as any album tracks that have been purchased, so they're well over 4 million singles I'm sure.

4,060,000 albums, not counting The Collection, and again missing any trickle sales since the last estimates.

If anyone's interested in any international chart runs for Girls Aloud or their individual singles/albums, I've now uploaded them all here: http://girlsalouddiscography.weebly.com/ Huge thanks to Jay for the info! The only one lacking right now is Kimberley's chart positions outside the top 100 and any airplay/international runs for her (but that won't be much at all lol)

Hmm, the reason for those sales being listed is because they're from the Top 200 sales lists emailed within the music industry (which I had a source for, at the time :kink: ), which stated:

NEW 1 157208 N/A PROMISE THIS CHERYL COLE POLYDOR

NEW 1 292845 N/A FIGHT FOR THIS LOVE CHERYL COLE FASCINATION

... and I never noticed that what Music Week stated in their articles was slightly different. I'm not really sure why there's differences of 1 and 2 sales!

A reasonable increase I suppose (the last we knew was 145k back in 2010, I think?).

If only they could give a full update and not just these little bits and pieces.

We can dream :(

Official first week sales for 'Love Machine: 35,828 (Source - see the narrative for 'Call On Me')

'Call On Me' had a lead of 32,310 and sold 68,138 copies itself when 'Love Machine' debuted, which works out as 35,828 for Girls Aloud.

Thank you! :D 35,828 were fairly reasonable sales for a #2 back in 2004 I think. It's a pity they ran into Eric Prydz's huge hit, but then again GA wouldn't have made it to #1 with those sales in many other weeks of '04 anyway. However it was 393 sales more than Brian McFadden needed for #1 a week earlier!

It's a shame that sales were so low across 2003-7ish, because some of their totals seem a bit floppy in today's terms. At least a few more of their singles have managed to go Silver in recent years. :D

Such a shame singles like The Show, Biology and No Good Advice never made silver, despite being successful singles with decent chart runs at the time... :(

Something New though...I still don't know what happened there...

Or "in the light of Sarah Harding first solo number 1 "Crazy for your love" :kink:

! Imagine that happening. Sarah Harding being the 2nd GA member to get a solo #1. *_*

And before you know it she'll get the record for most number 1s for a British female act.

What about Kimberley's "Everybody Dance" on Horrid Henry the Movie soundtrack?

What about Kimberley's "Everybody Dance" on Horrid Henry the Movie soundtrack?

It's missing from the A-Z list (I had no idea it existed) but it hasn't charted and wasn't released as a single so won't have its own page ^_^
