The simple lyrics don't help the song much either. Madonna hates this song so much that she barely sings it on tour. 04. Live To Tell In 1986, Madonna attempted to have the same success as her 1985 ballad "Crazy for You," but failed with "Live to Tell." She claimed that she wrote the lyrics in five minutes. We believe her! 03. Girl Gone Wild In 2012, Madonna tried to outdo Lady Gaga with the very Gaga-ish "Girl Gone Wild." The song not only bombed, but it one of the most hated songs by her usually dedicated fan base. 02. Music Okay, we realize "Music" was a number one hit. However, the song's lyrics are trite, Madonna's voice in the song is razor-thin, and the video was even worse. Does anybody even play this song anymore? 01. Oh Father "Oh Father" was Madonna's very first flop as a single, only making it to number 20 during the last week of 1989. The song, with trite lyrics, off-key singing, and annoying violins, could have ended Madonna's career. April 23, 201411 yr What joker wrote this?! 'Oh Father' is one of my favourites and 'Borderline' and 'Live to Tell' are fan favourites! The lyrics for the latter are very good too.
April 23, 201411 yr And to suggest KEEP IT TOGETHER is superior to Oh Father? L O L I'm all for personal opinion but trite the lyrics are not and I've always thought of the vocals as being deliberately raw to match the deeply personal subject matter.

Even the IDEA of Incredible is laughable to me, it's such a lyrical non-entity of a song and that's before we get to the fact it has no melody, a pathetic hook and Madge is old enough to be JT's granny.
