Disappointment is an expectation at this point so I'd bet not. I do think Capital will heavily support them though which should be good enough.

I live in the US so to think that one station has so much influence over an artist's success is actually quite sickening and wrong to me, especially when they only target a certain genre. Even our big city stations like KISS in LA and Z100 in NY don't have nearly that much influence on the success of an artist or song. It's incredibly unfair.

I agree - it's very sad how much rests on Radio 1 playlisting. There are always songs that make the top ten without their support but there is only about 4 or 5 big hits a year that manage without R1 support. It's not because they have more listeners but because they influence what all the other radios play.

I'm kinda expecting them to playlist them next Wednesday if anything and for them to drop Neon Jungle in the same week following 'Louder' flopping.

I guess we'll see tomorrow. I can't see them playlisting them the week after if they don't tomorrow. It was very odd that they did it with Disco Love. If Capital playlist them, hopefully they'll play them at least 2 or 3 in the daytime.

I love reading people who when WAYWF was released were CERTAIN Capital/radios were going to "bang" WAYWF yet now are changing tune. Love this forum

What time do R1 publish lists anyway?

5ish. I am about 70% they won't playlist them, but it'll make so happy if they do. They've played the song twice and Disco Love was still being played up until 2 weeks ago, which are the positives. Even if they went C-C-C-Release it would be something and they'd have had SOME exposure, enough for people to take notice.

Anything is better than nothing = the approach this fanbase needs to take!

No one said that, I mean even the optimistics like you said something around the likes of "Yeah it's doing good on preorders, but it could still fall on its arse with the radios" or something like that.

The song is good, so it SHOULD be played til the end of time, but I doubt anyone really believed they were going to get the full support. Being C-listed would really be great because at this point I'm expecting absolutely no support from Radio 1. So fingers crossed.

You're hilarious, I'm far from the optimistic kind. :drama:

It was doing good on preorders but isn't anymore so what's your point as there is a difference between being optimistic about preorders to optimism airplay? Secondly I've just browsed the initial responses to the song and these were some of the posts - yes identifying plays on capital, but still confident on playlisting.

biggrin.gif Capital just played WAYWF!!!!

Considering its getting plays before being playlisted, I'm now certain that Capital will absolutely hammer this!

All I'm saying is and it's been identified before, you're quite frequent for changing your tune once the wind blows in the opposite direction to what you predicted... :drama: B-) If it does get playlisted then brilliant, I'm wrong but being a pessimist/realist is better than being an optimist.

Well I never said it
was still
doing good? I basically quoted what you said in the single's topic, for God's sake  You're so dramatic, I can't. My point was no one really believed Radio 1 was going to hammer this, nothing to do with optimism particularly. And actually, it was proven by you since you failed showing a post of someone that actually said
Radio 1
were going to hammer this. Capital are different because they have been playing the song more than once since the radio premiere, so there's indeed some hope left for that one. Not that I believe they will hammer it either, but has 'Lets Go For 2night' ever not been
that
enthusiastic about them?

This
is hilarious. Weren't you the one telling me I'm always there to put a downer on everything? I'm not changing my tune, I'm trying to be less negative because members I've been saying I'm "pessimistic" when truly I'm just realistic (there's only my boo 'breakaway' who gets me :drama:), so I try to be nice and hope for the best.

I've never changed opinions, you need to not.

I get you Hurricane. I'm the first person to get excited when something looks positive for the girls, but it's stupid to pretend the girls' careers are looking sunshine, roses and money because it's very hazy at the moment and could go either way.

The sats HAVE been very unpredictable with their successes, so it's understandble why people might change their minds quite frequently anyway.

When did I say you said it was doing good? I'm being far from dramatic, I'm just getting a tad annoyed that you consistently feel to put your opinion above others which really does dampen the atmosphere in the forum - OPINIONS aside or not. Yes and I said in the aforementioned post that no one explicitly said it would be R1 hammered, it was hinted - if you cared to read instead of going on a side rant. On a similar note if you look at the title of the poll and the poll results, there are definitely some people who think R1 would support hence they got yes votes? You're simply twisting my words now which isn't fair in the slightest - I didn't say LGF2 hasn't been enthusiastic, because none of us wouldn't be here if we weren't enthusiastic/into the band, would we? :drama:

There is a very clear line between putting a downer on everything to ripping opinions to shreds - a very clear line which you need to be educated on, evidently, because you're coming across far from nice, and more like some form of forum dictator. Or am I not allowed to say that because you'll rip that to shreds too because it's not in alignment with your opinions...? <_<

I couldn't have put this better.

:o You're the one being pretentious, rolling eyes and everything.
"a very clear line which you need to be educated on, evidently"
Really? Wow, okay. I still fail to see how I'm the one who isn't nice and you, somehow, are to be honest... (Or is that ripping your opinion to shreds? *actually sincerely asking*)

I don't think I put my opinions above any other opinions either. Except maybe for the whole 'Missing You' thing, but again, it's a banter, and
I'm sorry
if you feel intimidated/pressured on
that
topic, but that's the only thing I will apologize for (the whole Missing You thing), because it's a banter, and it's meant to be a joke.  I don't actually hate it that much, nor do I really mind people enjoying it. However, that's the only subject. Because on every other topics, I tell my opinion just like you do, and somehow you get overly intimidated by it when I use plenty of humour, smileys and banter, so there's no need to feel like it...

I hope you do realise you're actually the one trying to rip me (not even my opinion, like properly
me
you know) to shreds? You've been on my back for weeks now. It's a bit tiring if I'm being honest... :/ (I'm open to talk about it in PM, but somehow I feel like you won't want to...)

And that's where I disagree with you (but somehow, I'm only ripping your opinion to shreds instead of saying mine...) because, to me, there's a difference between supporting and hammering. In my opinion, we can't say it was hinted the song will be "hammered" because fans thought it would get playlisted back then in April (which I think we need to take into consideration) when we knew nothing at all.

I think it's fine to discuss about different opinions. People clash on opinions everyday. We can't agree on everything, but it doesn't mean we can't have a debate either. But I do take notes and I'll try being "nicer" to you when responding to your messages so we can have a proper discussion and not some sassy conversation.

(Also, I think there's a misunderstanding, my point about JG2N was that he might just been way too enthusiastic about the whole thing which is why he said it would be hammered. Like Joe and Lee said/agreed on, some fans get excited really easily when something looks positive for the girls. Although, I do think it's unfair of me to assume that of him and I guess we would need to ask him.)

Exactly! Being a Sats fan, I learn to take things as they come, you really never can tell.

Wuuuuuut? Why have I been brought into this? :D

I don't understand why my quote was used in this in the first place? I was sure that Capital would playlist and hammer this and I still think that they will get played a fair amount by them. I never changed my tune it just seems like a song Capital like to hammer :P

I doubt it but I'm sure Capital will play it

That was just yesterday evening :P

I wasn't overly enthusiastic to start with actually but yeah first and foremost, I'm a fan of them so I do admit that I was really excited about any little thing that was going on with WAYWF or anything they do and at the time I really DID think that! I still think it can get plays from Capital but I never did say it's gonna be playlisted by Radio 1, ever nor did I think that it was gonna go to #1 and become the biggest selling track of the year with possible brit nominations etc, all I said was that Capital were going to hammer this which they usualy do when they start giving plays to songs before playlisting them (eg. I will never let you down, Crazy Stupid Love...). I always had a mix of huge anticipation and dread for the song.

EDIT - Wow, at how many times I have been editing this message :D
