remember them from back in the landfill indie era? had approximately 2 hit singles (plus an apple-indebted one), apparently they released stuff after but i have no clue. either way time hasn't remembered them fondly but is that about to change with their new single? unlikely. that said they have gone all disco-funk-pop with new single 'wrong club'.

what better way to launch a new era than putting out a 7 minute long remix of it:

fyi, 'the super criticals' is their pseudonym and probably a comment on the culture of social commentary or something.

that remix is SHIT. GO AWAY PLZ.

They were more dance/pop for me. But i liked them then theyre second album material flopped a bit - they released the first single then took an age for single two!

I really like it! It's got a nice funky vibe and it's nice to hear her actually singing.

They released a second album some time ago that totally flopped, 'Hands ' (which didn't end up being on the album) was thoroughly excellent and I quite liked 'Hang It Up'. From their big era I was only really enthusiastic about 'Great DJ'.

Their first album had some really incredible songs, but 'Hands' aged poorly for me and I think in general they had no idea what they were doing second time around. Looking forward to hearing the proper version of this, I have faith in them.

I remember when I first heard live version of 'Hands' I thought: WOW, that will be a massive breakthrough. But they soaked up any energy of it in the studio version and it rightfully flopped.

This new remix is very non-event. Like 110% non-event.

So good. Not really that original as they're going the '70s disco route, but I'm so glad they're back. Definitely better than the last album's singles, though I'd love the quirkiness of their debut to come back to light again. :(

I'm really liking 'Wrong Club'; it's very chilled, near perfect disco. Hope it'll be playlisted by Radio 1, but after the last era done precisely nothing, I won't hold my breath!
I quite like the single version! It's quite a good comeback I reckon!

I like it, but I am not sure if it can become a hit.

It won't be but it's great regardless!

mega catchy

who knew?

I'm quite surprised by this comment - they were hugely catchy (almost to a FAULT) the first time around!

I loved Hands and I like this but it does feel about a year too late.

'Wrong Club' remains brilliant. Not sure why the single is still up for pre-order though when it's also an instant grat on the album already...
