Alas not. Slow was the single that kicked off the Body Language album and was her 7th UK #1. It failed to reach the sales of her last one (CGSSOOMH) but sales aren't important. A change in direction for Kylie, it was a more minimalist sound and one that worked pretty well for her. The video is by far one of her best, the poolside, the moves, the men. All amazing. May 7, 201411 yr Slow really killed all the momentum she had going for her at the time. Risky move that didnt really pay off. Personally I appreciate her for attempting something different, but I find it very dull.

Yay for IndieKylie. Leading off the underrated and often overlooked Impossibe Princess, an era that was doomed from the start. This not not only missed out on the top 10, but the top 20 too. Sad times. A major change in direction, even from her previous DeCon album (more on that later) this song was given a Manic Street Preachers stamp that is obvious going by the sound and presents us with pop-rock Kylie, a side we don't often see, which is a shame. This is a very underrated gem of a song and people need to give it more love, they really do.

Her very first single from her very first album. This was a super hit. Yes indeed. Obviously it sounds pretty dated when set against her other music. Still, it's a fab song and one of the best debut singles ever.
May 10, 201411 yr Although in the UK 'I Should Be So Lucky' is considered her debut single. :P 'Some Kind Of Bliss' is a nice song, not one of my personal favourties but of course the album it came from is a masterpiece. 'The Locomotion' is good trashy fun.
May 11, 201411 yr My favourite version of Locomotion is the from the Abbey Road Sessions which is just completely motown for me! The second favourite version is the jazz version from Showgirl. Some kind of bliss is listenable, though I wouldn't release that as first single.

Recorded during the X sessions, the original version is out there, but with people talking over it and really LQ, so we'll have to make do with this version and the live version from the X tour. Rarely have we ever had such a personal song from Kylie and even rarer is it that it gets a single release. A song all about whether or not Kylie will ever have children and singing to a child she may never have, this is a stunning song and it was a shame to see it peak so low, but the instant grat thing and lack of promo of it didn't help. Kylie chose to sing many other songs from the album, which helped it in the long run. Gorgeous video too.

The lead single from the Fever era, there is not a person on this planet who doesn't know this song, it is her biggest hit to date and her main signature song. Written about the single greatest actor to come from Romania since.....ever, the song is pretty simplistic but oh so catchy. It really gets stuck in your head (lolololol) This song pretty much went #1 everywhere and sold gazillions of copies.
