Posted May 1, 201411 yr On 29 April 2014, Hoskins died from pneumonia. He had a big variety of films!!! His most notable movies are "The Long Good Friday" (Nominated-BAFTA Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role), "The Honorary Consul" (Nominated- BAFTA Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role), "Brazil", "Mona Lisa" (Nominated -Academy Award for Best Actor & BAFTA Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role) , "Super Mario Bros."(as Mario Mario), "Mermaids" and "Who Framed Roger Rabbit". The latter movie was his best for me. It's amazing and it's one of my favourite films ever!! In 2009, Hoskins made a return to British television in Jimmy McGovern's drama serial The Street, where he played a publican who stands up to a local gangster. For this role he received his only Emmy when he won "Best Actor" at the 2010 International Emmys. His final role was as Muir in "Snow White and the Huntsman". On 8 August 2012, Hoskins announced his retirement from acting after being diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 2011. He was a very good actor and he had played in many successful movies. I'm sure that many people knew it. HC9cPw_iY7A QXNri8hgPXY 67pkPx24BP8 DUSPGXmZQbM J22KgRLOCJg as Smee in "Hook"
