Clint Eastwood also had a charting hit - he reached #1 in 1970 with "Talk To The Trees". 42 years later he gained headlines by talking to one of its byproducts.

I'm sure the song was a classic

A) THE FIRST TIME - 2 DIFFERENT SCOTTISH ACTS AT No.1 IN BOTH UK CHARTS IN THE SAME WEEK

As we see, Calvin Harris has the No.1 Single, & Paolo Nutini is still has the No.1 Album. It is the first time

that 2 different Scottish Acts have simultaneously been at No.1 in both Charts.

WET WET WET - The UK Double Top has been achieved by the same Scottish Act 3 times. That Scottish Act is Wet Wet Wet.

08/02/1992 (2) Wet Wet Wet - High On The Happy Side // Goodnight Girl

30/07/1994 (4) Wet Wet Wet - End Of Part One (Their Greatest Hits) // Love Is All Around

03/09/1994 (1) Wet Wet Wet - End Of Part One (Their Greatest Hits) // Love Is All Around

Here is some Summer, (& other Seasons), UK No.1 Singles Chart Trivia for you.

B) BECAUSE 'SUMMER' BY CALVIN HARRIS IS AT No.1.....

1) It is the 1,260th UK No.1 Single since Mid November 1952

2) But only the 6th No.1 to have 'Summer' in its Title.

The other 5 are:,

W/E 10th October 1959 - Here Comes Summer - Jerry Keller (1 Week)

W/E 16th March 1963 - Summer Holiday - Cliff Richard & The Shadows (2 Weeks)

W/E 6th April 1963 - Summer Holiday - Cliff Richard & The Shadows (1 Week)

W/E 13th June 1970 - In The Summertime - Mungo Jerry (7 Weeks)

W/E 30th September 1978 - Summer Nights - John Travolta & Olivia Newton-John (7 Weeks)

W/E 9th August 2008 - All Summer Long - Kid Rock (1 Week)

C) OTHER SEASONS NAMED IN UK No.1 HIT SINGLES

A) Autumn - There have been Zero No.1's with 'Autumn' in their Titles.

The closest was 'Autumn Almanac' - The Kinks - No.3 in 1967

B) Winter - There have been Zero No.1's with 'Winter' in their Title.

The closest was 'A Winter's Tale' by David Essex - No.2 in 1982

C) Spring - There have been Zero No.1 Hits, (or even Top 10 Hits), with 'Spring' in their Titles.

The closest was 'It May Be Winter Outside (But In My Heart It's Spring)' - Love Unlimited - No.11 in 1975

(Which is also a Hit with 'Winter' in the Title, of course. Love Unlimited were Barry White's Female backing vocalists).

D) Seasons - There have been just 2 No.1 Hits with a reference to 'Seasons' in their Title - both were the same Song

W/E 6th April 1974 - Seasons In The Sun - Terry Jacks (4 Weeks)

W/E 25th December 1999 - I Have A Dream / Seasons In The Sun - Westlife (4 Weeks)

Thanks for that. Of course, all Four Seasons had a number one with December 1963 (Oh What A Night)

It's interesting that Summer dominates the number ones so comprehensively.
