#35 Ben Haenow 'Something I Need' (-189 points)

#34 Band Aid 30 'Do They Know It's Christmas? (2014)' (-174 points)

#33 Sam Smith 'Money On My Mind' (-159 points)

The winner of The X Factor this year wasn't too popular, with Ben Haenow only making #35. Which is a fair enough position considering the quality of the song. The fourth version of Band Aid is next, which judging by this isn't going to go down as a christmas classic. I do like it actually but the original is better. Sam Smith's first of 2 entries suffers from his overexposure and is only as high as #33.

Poor bottom 3, would rather them all at least a little higher :P Good to see Ben Haenow low, Band Aid 30 too.

#32 Aloe Blacc 'The Man' (-137 points)

#31 Sam Smith 'Stay With Me' (-133 points)

#30 Take That 'These Days' (-114 points)

Aloe Blacc used Wake Me Up to get him a quick #1 single, but it wasn't as good as WMU or his earlier hit I Need a Dollar and so ends up as the 32nd favourite #1 of the year. Oops at Sam Smith, 2 #1s but both miss the top 30. It's clear he doesn't have many fans here, many finds Stay With Me very boring anyway including myself. Take That's not bad song These Days which was a bit of a surprise #1 hit starts the top 30.

Are you sure you didn't accidentally leave 'I Don't Care' out or something.

Also dafuq at 'Money On My Mind' being below 'Stay With Me'. And poor Band Aid 30.

#29 DVBBS & Borgeous feat. Tinie Tempah 'Tsunami (Jump)' (-108 points)

#28 Jessie J feat. Ariana Grande & Nicki Minaj 'Bang Bang' (-104 points)

#27 MAGIC! 'Rude' (more +19s) (-104 points)

One of the year's "non-#1s" Tsunami (with Pointless Rap) is at #29. Just ahead is bré and T-Boy's favourite singer Jessie J with her comeback single Bang Bang which isn't her best song to date but is quite good. One hit wonders MAGIC! are at #27, too low but buzzjack does like to be rude so it's no surprise.

Bray shush, I Don't Care is the best #1 of the year x

Yeah I don't care was my top song.

You are both wrong.

Not the greatest of sections there if we're honest? Tsunami was incredible before Tinie's pointless addition. Let's not start on the other 2...

#25 Cheryl 'I Don't Care' (-65 points)

#24 Rixton 'Me And My Broken Heart' (-62 points)

One of my favourite songs of the year I Wanna Feel is at #26, that's far too low silly buzzjack  An amazing house tune. Cheryl is surprisingly high with her record breaking #1 single I Don't Care. (happy now Bré?) and Rixton finish at #24 with their MORfest.

#23 5 Seconds Of Summer 'She Looks So Perfect' (-48 points)

#22 David Guetta feat. Sam Martin 'Lovers On The Sun' (-36 points)

#21 Pharrell Williams 'Happy' (-32 points)

New boyband 5SOS got a #1 single, something 1D didn't manage to do in 2014 (lol). Anyway it's awful but manages to go to #23. David Guetta proved his relevance after missing the top 20 with Bad by having a #1 with a song that's quite good. The best song of the section is obviously Happy though :music: but it's not even top 20 in this countdown :( Buzzjack not feeling like a room without a roof?

A better section there! Hated SLSP at perfect but I had to give in to its catchiness... Bad should totally have been the number 1 for Guetta though (not that Avicii rip-off)

Happy Happy Happy Happy! :cheer:

#19 Ed Sheeran 'Sing' (-11 points)

#18 Pitbull feat. Ke$ha 'Timber' (-4 points)

Ed's borefest is at #20 immediately followed by his actually decent song. Good to see the better one higher up anyway, TOL has been ridiculously overexposed anyway, I bet 2015 will be another big year for the song too -_- Pitbull's Timber is the last song to finish on minus points, and was another huge hit for him, although couldn't quite match the success of Give Me Everything (thankfully)

#17 Calvin Harris feat. John Newman 'Blame' (11 points)

#16 Meghan Trainor 'All About That Bass' (14 points)

#15 Nico & Vinz 'Am I Wrong' (more +19s) (14 points)

Calvin's first of 2 #1s is Blame, which I prefer to Summer but you collectively don't agree. Meghan's booty-loving All About That Bass and Am I Wrong tie in points but it is Nico & Vinz who start the top 15. Both are good pop tunes, it was particularly great seeing AIW become a smash.

#13 Route 94 feat. Jess Glynne 'My Love' (87 points)

#12 Mr. Probz 'Waves (Robin Schulz Remix)' (94 points)

One of Calvin's weakest singles to date Summer is at #14. From then we have 2 much better dance tracks, both of which are in my top 10 of the year   Shame they missed the top 10 but what can ya do.
