Chart confusion over this record.

Yesterday Fedde le Grande went Top75 at #53, but as yet has no official physical release date. Is this some sort of error?

Out on October 23rd

In which case it wouldn't qualify for yesterday's chart. As download only applies one week prior to physical.

Must have leaked out on imports or something than. I'm actually confused, as I removed the asterisks from the chart topic yesterday
Well then that explains it. Still, its doing far too well on 12'' for a c**p tune. Music week might be right, its a possible #1
You do get some odd dance tracks that are only available on 12inch, as they are released far too early sometimes.

A work colleague of mine bought it on 12" vinyl last week.

12" doesn't qualify it for the chart. Has no effect at all to my knowledge. Most dance tracks are released on 12" prior to full release, but they don't qualify.

I heard it was released on 12" only back in July and all sales are being linked to this release. Apparently, most sales are download but as it has a physical release, and that release wasn't a limited release it all counts as eligible sales.

yup, here's the 12" release from July:

and here's the imminent re-release in 2 weeks time:

both have the same catalog number meaning that the re-release will be classed as an extra version / format so it will keep its chart run without being classed as a new entry either.

Still unsure, many dance songs had a 12" out prior to the CD release but they are not able to chart until a week prior to the physical CD release.

both have the same catalog number :o

Well maybe that's what it is then.

Is this a new entry into the top 200 this week? Odd that it should come from nowhere in 7 days.

Here a 12" from Cascada. 5th of July

http://www.hmv.co.uk/hmvweb/displayProduct...1;-1&sku=535737

Why could Cascada not chart prior to the CD release on 31st July?

Chart run so far (I think) is: 150-??-198-112-95-84-53-.

One of those 'real' climbers and should be interesting to see much how further this goes in the next several weeks.

Odd it should be released on a Wednesday (5th July)...

it's a rather expensive 12", ten quid! It DOES have the same catalog number as the UK release, but I reckon it was either an import or a very limited release.
