Wait, I'm confused, why is "Utopia" on twice a week?

It's meant to be a 12 month social experiment, like Big Brother but set on an island. I know some people elsewhere thought it could've been given three hours (to take over from X Factor) but instead they're choosing to air two Gordon Ramsey shows at the same time.

Oh I see. Sounds quite interesting, but I can't see it being a success.

It's reality TV, you never know.

Deadline has most of the FOX trailers - http://m.deadline.com/2014/05/fox-upfronts...-fall-schedule/

Their drama picks up look ridiculously strong. Obviously Gracepoint was at an advantage, but Wayward Pines looks tremendous (OMG at the cast - Matt Dillon, Melissa Leo, Juliette Lewis, Carla Gugino!!!), Gotham seems promising, and Empire although far from a guaranteed hit does look like campy fun high drama. Laughed out loud a few times at Mulaney too. Looking forward to the Red Band Society trailer.

NBC will air the first post-haitus episode of Blacklist after the Superbowl, and then it debuts in its new time slot the following Thursday, and that's a two-parter with a cliffhanger they're hoping will help retain Superbowl viewers. Smart move which could help it anchor Thursday nights from midseason.

Wayward Pines looks amazing, great cast, visually stunning (the body looks to be taking a few cues from the Hannibal playbook) and genuinely exciting - albeit in a 3 minute trailer. It's got strong Twin Peaks vibes too; the look, the oddball characters in small backwater town thing and of course highly complex mysteriosa *.*

Wayward Pines, Gotham, Gracepoint and Hieroglyph are the ones I'll be checking out from FOX. Empire could be okay but Mulaney and Backstrom look hideous. Terrance Howard in two of these shows though, How is that going to work?

Finally ABC put a family comedy behind Modern Family in the fall! Comedies leading into drama on Tuesday sounds better, if they can self start...glad to see The Goldbergs going behind The Middle. Thursday comes with risks (and possible Shonda overkill?) but they're right to try launching a new drama behind Scandal at this point.

Gracepoint's trailer looks so weird after watching Broadchurch, especially having David Tennant there (his American accent still sounds weird). It feels like the whole trailer is just an exact replica of the first episode of Broadchurch!
That's a much more sensible line up for ABC, especially Tuesday and Wednesday. Thursday will be interesting, as obv Scandal SHOULD be a lead in at this stage, but three Shonda shows in a row could be a bit much for some people.

Oh yay, Bones is going back up against Grey's. At least it's not facing Scandal!

For the most part all these schedules actually look really good and make sense. NBC has some great idea's and clearly knows that it wants to ensure The Blacklist is not another Revolution and will stand on it's own. Fox is coming to terms with the end of animation but has made a smart move in putting comedies there that compliment the Animation audience. The M/F split between Fox and ABC on Sunday nights would be really interesting to see!

For once ABC's scheduling wasn't done by a drunk exec high on coke while blindfolded! Curious as to where they'll end up putting Agent Carter. All the moves look logical and they've been sensible with keeping anchor points like Monday nights where they are.

One of CBS and CW have got to make some daft decisions surely.

Agent Carter will be bridging AOS during the winter hiatus. Galavant will do the same for OUAT.

American Crime will air on Resurrection's slot after the Oscars.

Another note, I hear that "How To Get Away With Murder" will only have 15-16 episodes due to the contract signed with some of the cast, so Scandal can be used to launch a second drama later on!

Sounds very sensible and logical. Has anyone check to make sure ABC are feeling ok?

Oh yay! I think that the 13-16 episode seasons would be a great move to make for Broadcast. I'm fully behind Fox doing that and to see it branch out to the other networks would be great! Obviously it works well when you have some traditional length shows anchoring the schedule but I'm all for us getting more actual shows and potentially higher quality ones at that.

Will actually be able to watch 'The Goldbergs' this season (other times there were conflicts), good friends of the actual Goldbergs the show is inspired by so excited to support the show.

This would've been my schedule:

Mon:

DWTS

Nashville (DWTS would bring in more viewers and is more compatible with Nashville)

Tue:

The Goldbergs (this is the only comedy that's done well on Tuesdays and the only one that could kickstart the night)

Galavant

Agents Of SHIELD

Forever

Wed

The Middle

Fresh Off The Boat (family show)

Modern Family

Black-ish (family show)

Castle (established)

Thur

Grey's Anatomy (only thing ABC can put here that will get decent ratings)

Scandal

How To Get Away With Murder (there's buzz and gets a great lead in)

Fri

Last Man Standing (multi-cam)

Cristela (the only other multi-cam comedy)

Shark Tank

Sun

OUAT

Resurrection

Revenge

Castle is established enough that it would do well anywhere. Nashville needs a better lead-in, and after DWTS just seems like the most appropriate slot.
There is "no talk of endgame" regarding 'Revenge'. Also, 'Resurrection' will have 15-16 episodes.

Female comedies self-starting Tuesday and leading into Shield is a terrible idea, but I guess there's no place else to put them. Cristela also sounds a terrible fit with LMS.

Thursdays are absolute killer. Of course triple Shonda is a bit much, but I predict Grey's will fall off into high 1s as people take up Murder instead. An OK schedule, but I'm not seeing any huge successes here except Thursdays.
