Liverpool finally agree a fee with Sevilla for Alberto Moreno. £12m in the end, which is a lower than expected

Think we'll sign another 2-3. A goalkeeper, striker and possibly another attacking player

Happy with that. Think the only player we will get in is a striker. Would have loved Remy, but ah well.

Really pleased with this window, we're really strong now, but without the obvious glaring depth of Chelsea and Man City.

Rojo to Man Utd for £16m.

Nani going to Lisbon on loan, with Man Utd paying 100% of his wages.

Liverpool are in talks with AC Milan to sign former Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli.

We'll see what happens here with these talks.

I would have preferred Falcao, who last night looked like a realistic target. However with di Maria now confirming he wants to leave, Falcao is almost certainly Madrid bound. I think this definitely explains the speed the Balotelli deal has moved at. Exciting signing, but comes with some baggage. However for £16m it's a low risk. Even if he has attittue problems, you're likely still to be able to recoup a significant portion of that transfer fee. Regardless, on his day he's quality and another striker is something we desperately need.

Liverpool has agreed a fee of £16m to sign Mario Balotelli. We'll have to wait and see if he has calmed down his antics from when he was at Manchester City. Quite a risky signing indeed.

Risky, but in the current market for £16m, I don't see much risk. If Liverpool sell Borini for £12-14m they're making a huge upgrade for minimal money in the market. A lot of it depends on how he applies himself. But who knows really. It could be a failure, or it could be a master stroke. But for £16m, it's a bit of a bargin for a proven striker. His disciplinary record is always overplayed. But this is probably his last chance at a big club.

£63.9m fee accepted for di Maria.

What I find hilarious is that that money should be spent investing in the squad, not on marquee players they don't need. Excellent player, but over-priced and not what Man Utd need. Over £200m net spend from the past 12 months. Going to be another hilarious season for the rest of the Premier League.

Now if we could buy a few defenders that'd be champion

Totally boom or bust this year, nothing like a few good panic buys :D

No. of players in each squad signed for £15m+ (before ADM & MB):

Man Utd - 14

Man City - 12

Chelsea - 11

Liverpool - 7

Arsenal - 4

Spurs - 4

And they're that bad!

And their defence and attack is still so bad. Can't believe they want rid of Welbeck. While I don't think he scores enough goals he has one thing Man Utd lack - pace! I just honestly don't see where di Maria fits in. He wants to play centrally, I can't see him being played as a winger. If they play him as a central midfielder then jeez, he is going to get torn a new one against the big sides!

I have no idea how they can fit Di Maria into a 3-4-1-2 unless they drop Mata. Presumably back to four at the back with him playing wide, but Mata would then be out of position again. It's alarming how reliant the midfield is on Carrick.

I think they will drop Mata personally, and play 3-5-2, and then maybe mix it up if things aren't working. Problem is if they don't get top 4 this year they are going to be in massive trouble with all these players on inflated wages. They just have no balance anywhere.

I still don't think that Di Maria is worth 59million, although the attacking possibility of Mata, Di Maria, Rooney & Van Persie sounds rather incredible. It's still amusing that Manchester United are paying all of Nani wages despite him playing for Sporting.

Everton are away to purchase Samuel Eto'o, I think that's a rather incredible deal if i'm being honest, he's still a good enough footballer and he will work as a striker at Everton. I'm guessing that will allow Kone to move on. I'm still surprised that Kone never really done much at Everton despite doing incredibly well at Wigan.

It sounds incredible as a strike force if you're a Football Manager or FIFA fan. In the real world they will get torn to pieces. If you play all those four at once. One of them will be starting on the bench. They have been well and truly done a new one by Real Madrid there, getting £60m for a player they don't need/wants to leave. It really is like a pantomine at Old Trafford. Ed Woodward seems intent on over-spending.

That transfer fee really hits home when you realise that they're still talking about spending £34m on Vidal, who's not only probably a better player but is also exactly what they need.

Still, I'm more convinced Van Gaal will find a way of fitting it into a decent side than I would be with Moyes.
