August 30, 201410 yr Linked with Mattia Destro. Surely if they wanted a third striker Demba Ba was the one who'd be happy as a back up.
August 30, 201410 yr I'm sure we'll see a meltdown or two from Liverpool fans if Remy does sign for Chelsea and has a good season Derby have signed Jordon Ibe on loan today from Liverpool, apparently he's very talented - any Liverpool fans have an opinion? When we had Andre Wisdom from them last year he was fantastic so if Jordon is as good as him then that's fabulous. Burnley and Bournemouth have made bids for Richard Keogh and Johnny Russell respectively as well, but Derby have rejected all their bids so far. If we keep hold of them, our squad is looking incredibly good! Very talented, but still raw. At the start of last season, you would have found quite a few Liverpool fans that actually rated him higher than Sterling.. Sterling has obviously come on leaps and bounds since then though Interested to watch how he progresses. Thought Rodgers would have kept him around as a squad player, but going on loan will obviously be better for his development. Derby seemed to fight quite hard to sign him, so there must have been some guarantees of first team football
August 30, 201410 yr Author Will Marcos Rojo's work permit come through any time soon? Probably not. Bit of a funny situation for them to be in. I can't remember a high profile signing having this much of an issue to get a permit. Can't say I've ever seen too much of Blind bar the World Cup. I thought he was good, but not the messiah he is being made out to be. Bit of a comedown from Vidal and Kroos!
August 30, 201410 yr 2 issues with today with 2 of my favourite players. Daniel Agger back to Brondby, I know he either wanted to go to them or Barcelona but it feels like such a waste, despite his injury problems. Would have loved him at Arsenal. And Alex Song, only 26 years old. West Ham? Surely a better club could have got him in, although I suppose he's hardly played any football in about 2 years.
August 30, 201410 yr Song is an odd buy for us. He's broadly the same sort of player as Kouyate and Diame, and the former has made a great start.

I love Agger, but what he said in his goodbye notes was true. He had always suffered with the physicality of big strikers, and I don't think he would have ever left Liverpool for another Premier League team. Sad to see him go, but a great servant, and I wish him well for the future. Song is a great signing for West Ham.
September 1, 201410 yr Transfer deadline day! Don't expect us to sign anyone though. Interested in Victor Valdes, but he's a free agent so that deal wouldn't need to be done yet Lucas, Coates, Assaidi and Borini expected to leave
September 1, 201410 yr Author Falcao is great. I think he's the best finisher in the world, or at least he was before his other ACL injury. But he's been offered around all summer, and there's a reason Real Madrid, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, Man City etc. have all pulled out of the deal - the fee, and his wages are ridiculous and represent no value at all. Man Utd need better defenders ad creative players with pace.. yep I know let's buy a striker! I have no idea about this signing, and more to the point neither do they. It's a pure status thing. It is going to be hilarious when they falter, again. Their whole set-up is just is bloody clueless, even a large majority of their fans are questioning this signing.
September 1, 201410 yr Falcao would be a great signing for any premiership club including Man United but it's not what they need! They should be attempting to fix their midfield and defence before they go and purchase a striker.

They should be attempting to fix their midfield and defence before they go and purchase a striker. Well the rumours are that Van Persie needs a knee operation, and the devil in me thinks they might have gone for this deal to stop Man City and Arsenal from signing a striker. But such an expensive purchase yet again. None of Van Persie, Falcao, Rooney, Mata or di Maria will want to sit on the bench, but there's no way you can play with all those at the same time.
September 1, 201410 yr Defoe is apparently going to be joining West Ham / QPR while QPR have been linked with Borini!
September 1, 201410 yr Author Defoe is apparently going to be joining West Ham / QPR while QPR have been linked with Borini! The Defoe move must surely be a loan, can't imagine Toronto would take such a huge loss even though he's apparently been awful in the MLS. QPR been linked with pretty much the entire team Redknapp had at Spurs in 2009! Hernandez to Real Madrid now confirmed on a season long loan.
September 1, 201410 yr Kagawa has rejoined Borussia Dortmund. Hull are purchasing Diame from West Ham. James Mcarthur looks set to leave Wigan and join Crystal Palace. Micah Richards is close to a move to Fiorentina
September 1, 201410 yr Sad to see Diame go, but he's been out of sorts for a year and would have struggled to make it into the team ahead of Kouyate and Song. He could have been great in the position we've persisted with Nolan in but with Zarate and Morrison that's not really an issue now either.
September 1, 201410 yr Author http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/...-long-loan.html Absolutely insane. Only Man Utd would be stupid enough to pay that.
September 1, 201410 yr If only we could buy some bloody defenders. We have an amazing attack but that's useless with such a limp defence.
September 1, 201410 yr Author If only we could buy some bloody defenders. We have an amazing attack but that's useless with such a limp defence. It's good on paper, but offers little tracking back and bar di Maria no pace. Arsenal apparently about to sign Welbeck. Man Utd are mad. Making some real bad moves here IMO.
