Lol at the inevitable BGT boost for Idina. Coming back for #11. (I still expect it to somehow worm its way into the top 10 eventually as it just comes back stronger than ever every time it looks like falling away, so maybe this'll be it).

Was Idina's BGT boost from a performance of the song or the track being used as background music? A quick scan of BGT's YouTube uploads leads me to believe it was the latter?

Anyway, Team Jedward Kwabs this week :banana:.

It was indeed background music but apparently a quite lengthy section of background music. The song is back out of the top 10 anyway thanks to the new releases. (As are Coldplay unfortunately :( Hopefully they can re-enter again later especially with Ed falling).

A thought just struck me:

 

'Waves' is likely to be #2 again next Sunday, ahead of Rita and behind 'Stay With Me' (if I'm not mistaken). But imagine if it somehow outsold Sam, returning to #1. Then its chart run would be 1-2-1-2-1.

A very wavy pattern, some would say :blink:.

 

Another reason to be wary of this Sam kid if you ask me.

Sam Smith will obviously go to #1. Fuse ODG should go top 5. I hope Clean Bandit make the top 10 but it's not a certainty. Anything from #8-12 is possible really. I can't see the Afrojack song doing better than 'The Spark'. I hope it doesn't anyway, I wish he'd go back to making good music :(
