YTD Sales : Please read these notes before you request sales estimates, it makes my task a lot easier (apologies to regulars for the repetition).

 

1. Please check the thread before requesting estimates - they may already have been answered. Remember, if you can bear to wait until Thursday, you'll get total sales without having to ask.

2. Be specific on what you'd like to know - don't just name an artist or title & expect me to guess. Also, I'd be grateful if you could try to keep requests down to a half-dozen or so.

3. If a song/album isn't in the weekly Top 100, I probably won't be able to give an update on it until Thursday.

4. I only track singles/albums that debut in the current year (provided they are still charting, and/or are in the top 200 sellers of the year), or big hits from previous years that have charted significantly in the current year (nothing before 2009, though).

5. Most of the big hits from before 2014 will now have dropped from my tracking range after the Y/E reset, so the Y/E 2013 thread (http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=161619) should be your first port of call for those.

Not sure now that Paolo will catch Ellie in 2 weeks - last week he outsold her by just 11k, compared to 19k the week before. If the difference continues to drop at that rate, he'll take 3 weeks to overtake her, but 3 weeks of Coldplay sales wil surely overtake both!

Yeah I think Paolo will overtake her in three weeks rather than two, as she is still selling well. Although I don't think it's a sure thing that Coldplay will be in front after three weeks of sales - I think all three albums will be close together in the 260k-275k region by that stage (Coldplay's sales are difficult to gauge obviously), so Paolo could potentially get a week on top.
