The Saturdays talk about '808' and 'Walking Through The Desert'

:cheer: :cheer: :cheer:

'808' is apparently 'What About Us' part 2 and if there's actually some swearing wow... It could definitely be a track to remember.

However, I'm most excited about 'Walking Through the Desert' which sounded LUSH on that instragram clip so I can't wait!

I know it's unrealistic, but I want all three new tracks to be singles. "808" sounds like it would be a hit (if its WAU Part II) and "Walking Through The Desert" is mid-tempo which is exactly what I want from them! We've been having loads of uptempo singles, we need a midtempo now. Hopefully they'll release a ballad on the next album too.

"Walking Through The Desert" sounds like it would be good with a big TV performance in Autumn/Winter. "808" sounds like it could do well in Spring. So fingers crossed for three singles to take the tally up to 20 before the next album!

The Box put them at #1 on its Fresh music top 10! Yay! Maybe this is a sign that tv airplay will pick up :D
Radio 1 played the feature from yesterday again today. and then when Scott came in to plug his show during the lunch show they talked about it again and directed people to the website to watch it. If only they were supporting their music as much as their games involvement!

Woohoo! Awesome :)

well if they are recording another album after the tour, i'm sure we will get up to 20 then! :)

I want them to get more top 10s than Girls Aloud!

I want them to make it to 20 singles too! That won't happen of this one isn't playlisted though.
Today it has been played on The Box, MTV and Viva which is a good sign :P
hope the heavy TV rotation starts now!! and gets it back in the itunes charts!!
It's #1 on the fresh music chart on The Box. Which means it could be the VIP track next week.

Really want WTTD to be another Missing You style song!

It already sounds much better from the 10 sec clip demo we've heard, in my opinion. :kink:

What clip?? What did I miss?

It's barely 10 seconds. It was on Instagram. The girl who wrote it just uploaded a bit of her listening to her demo with whoever produced it. But the production sounds lush and the 2 seconds of vocals we hear definitely feels different for them. I can't wait to hear it, personally. Probably more than I wanna hear '808' despite the swearing/What About Us part 2. :cheer:

Am I the only one who thinks this is doing just fine so far?

1) Has had zero promo and the pre-order still managed to peak just outside the iTunes Top 100 on hype alone

2) The EP pre-order has had a decent run so far

3) The GH is doing well on pre-orders

4) Airplay is picking up, with The Hits hammering it, Heat and Capital giving it a few test spins, and smaller stations such as Cool FM adding it to their playlists

5) TV is giving it a lot of attention out of nowhere

6) There is still a month until release! Plenty of time for Capital & Radio 1 to playlist them

1) They did perform it twice during festivals, though. It's not like it wasn't out there
at all
and did a radio tour to promote it. I do think the song isn't doing much because both the EP and the compilation are a much better bargain.

2) I agree

3) I agree

4) Mmmyeah... It's not really picking up, it's really just The Hits having some taste over the other radios.

5) It's because it was finally sent out officially to TVs for spinning. I think it should start to pick up on TV from now on.

6) I AGREE. And I think it's too soon to panic just yet. I think, at best, Radio 1 will C-list them, but I've confidence Capital will playlist them and hopefully, fingers crossed, play the shit out of it.
