A bit like Ed Sheeran with Paolo Nutini's voice, though balladeering constantly didn't work to badly for him. He had his moments, not really heard from him in a while have we?

Highest: 10 (Luciano, gavindeejay, Iz)

Lowest: 2 (Jonjo)

It's quite admirable for a band of their type to maintain relevance up until today outside of the 2004-6 period. This war-themed, military sounding anthemic song is quite a wonderful forgotten gem from them.

Highest: 11 (Davidson)

Lowest: 1 (RabbitFurCoat)

If you're a fan of them, you'll like this, if you're not, you probably won't. Not much else to say really.

Highest: 10 (Chez Wombat, jsliv, gavindeejay)

Lowest: 1 (Atonement)

OMG WHAT AN ANTHEM  Yes, they may have been nothing special and 'landfill indie' defined, but I swear if you didn't sing along to this.

Highest: 11 (T Boy)

Lowest: -1 (Jonjo, Jack)

Rather divisive one this proved to be and indeed finished bang in the middle, but it was pretty much the song of the moment when the CD was released and by far their commercial peak. Overplay aside, it's really quite a classy and great song that suits them down to the ground.

Lovely commentary Chez.

I hope you're being serious there  Thanks!

'Nothing In My Way' & 'Put Your Hands Up For Detriot' <3333 FAR TOO LOW etc.

Should have voted 7, should have voted :(

-x-

I know this is quite an awkward time to do results but no point clashing with chart show/BJSC.

I am being serious!! Much better than what I could muster up.

Yep a good score from RFC  I...don't really have much to say about this, but it's a cool song, video may be a bit explicit.

Highest: 10 (jsliv, Liam, acidburn, Leonardo, Riser)

Lowest: 3 (Thermo, Alex, Chez Wombat)

Quite a random number 1 really considering she has far, far better that missed out. Don't really care much for this really.

18. Jamelia - Something About You (6.94)

Highest: 10 (ketalina, Jack, acidburn)

Lowest: 3 (RabbitFurCoat)

More likely to be seen on about 100 panel shows a week rather than in the studio these days, her career really bombed after this. Her earlier stuff was great, there's a spark missing here.

Highest: 10 (acidburn, Rob S, Luciano, AnthonyT, Rabbit Heart, gavindeejay, Iz)

Lowest: 1 (RabbitFurCoat)

Razorlight never really properly adapted after 2006, though that twat of a frontman didn't really help matters. This was their commercial peak and their only number 1, it was something a bit different and more universal than their usual stuff and remains a pleasant listen.

Highest: 10 (Aled, gooddelta)

Lowest: 2 (RabbitFurCoat)

It's alright, but when you consider this is the same group that did Pure Shores and Black Coffee...All Saints' 'big' comeback didn't go all to well apart from the minor success of this, and they have never been heard from since, oops.

Oh I really quite like that Jamelia song, pleasing to see it doing okayish. Lots of okay tracks already out actually, although I know I didn't find time to vote so can't grumble too much...

Brought back to my attention (and probably others) after Le Youth's wonderful reworking of it, still quite a classy piece of R'n'B, never knew what happened to her.

Highest: 10 (Luciano, Rob S, Leonardo, T Boy)

Lowest: 0 (Jonjo)

Kinda surprised how high this finished, but it's aged quite well and is a really nice song. Paolo was a bit of a misery guts back then, clearly songs about shoes, pencils and funking peoples lives up were the way forward!

Highest: 11 (Chez Wombat)

It was a little bit overplayed wasn't it? Still, for me, the defining song of the 00s and just as beautiful now than when I first heard it (sorry haters)

Highest: 10 (Thermo, gavindeejay, Griff, Nick F1)

Old school Guetta was just the BEST! Cool Citroen commercial too

Back when Christina didn't need anyone else to score hits, she had quite an inspired soul sound, I liked some of the songs on the album, but THAT SCREECH :(

10. Cascada - Everytime We Touch (7.38)

Highest: 11 (Jonjo, Rob S)

Lowest: -1 (Davidson)

I shamefully like this, Cascada did make a career off this generic dance/pop sound that got tiring, but the first time around, it was quite fun.

Ah, a song about the wonders of London, one I can relate too very well where I live. Probably the only song in existence to mention Tesco and Al Fresco? *.*

Oops, yeah sorry, I never got this song and knew it would be ridiculously overmarked. I recall it being played a thousand times a day on the music channels which made me quite sick of it anyway, but it just never clicked with me like the two sublime songs that were released before and after it.

I think I liked this for a bit, but OMG her songs really do get massively overplayed don't they?

06. Rihanna - Unfaithful (7.83)

Highest: 11 (Iz, Liam, Jack)

Lowest: 0 (Aled, RabbitFurCoat)

Back in a land where time forgot where Rihanna was struggling to get her first number 1, Unfaithful definitely was a lot deeper than her previous singles showed that there was a bit more to her. It's not AMAZING (not amazing vocals there) but it's aged quite well.

05. Amy Winehouse - Rehab (7.90)

Highest: 10 (Liam, Griff, acidburn, Conderella, Leonardo, Riser)

Lowest: 0 (Alex)

The start of both her commercial success and constant downward spiral quite sadly :( Quite a clever song and lyrics, I hated her at the time, can't really remember why now even if she's mainly not my thing.
