I've seen that a band called The Neon Brotherhood have released a single called Hope Aint A Bad Thing with all proceeds to the Teenage Cancer Trust in memory of Stephen Sutton. It's on iTunes already, the band is local and I believe it's backed by the family.

I'm not commenting on the song but it seems to me that the momentum may make this massive as it will cover all demographics. I'm tempted to buy it simply to support the cause.

It could also be a complete non-seller....but I suspect it'll be next weeks number one and end the run of one weekers too.

Good luck to them.

Its not even top 1500 and unless it starts to get publicity from somewhere its not going to do a thing

Someone should email ITV's Good Morning Britain or The Sun then. ;)

#2 on iTunes now!

Shame for Ella or Ed, buy hey they might as well just embrace it and support it, tweet about it themselves!

Good cause...

I can't see it threatening Ed, it's selling less than half what he is currently - and he has 2 days headstart.

I mean next week when Ed stands a chance of a 2nd week at No.1.

I think the charity single will build quite strongly from tonight... but lets see...

If the chart is a rolling chart then it might already be outselling him and it's only the headstart that is making it #2 on iTunes

I've not seen it promoted anywhere since the initial FB post I saw, so maybe it won't get as much media exposure as I thought it would.
How is this #2? Not that I'm complaining, I love random surprise entries.

Its been in The Telegraph and Guardian a few days ago but doesnt seem to have gone to Tabloids yet. I will be surprised if this doesnt take off [assuming the family are supporting it]...

It already seems to be slipping back slightly from its initial %age.

Must say it doesn't seem to have had much mass publicity. I watch breakfast telly, Sky News, listen to Radio 2 and the evening news programmes etc and hadn't heard of it until this thread!
