Given that they're 5th favourite they absolutely cannot be regarded as dark horses. They're expected to get to at leas the last 8, especially given their group, though I can easily see them losing to the 2nd place of Germany/Portugal/Ghana.

You're right about the favourites though. The top 4 do seem to be quite far ahead of the rest but they all seem to have their weak points. Brazil have the least amount of flaws but most of their attacking players have come off the back of disappointing seasons; Paulinho, Oscar, Fred, even Neymar to some extent.

Argentina are weak in goal and the left half of their defence.

Spain aren't as good as they have been and you sense they might lack up front.

And in many ways Germany are as weak as they've been for a while, one striker worth taking, a lack of a real quality defence, and key midfielders either injured or not fit.

Brazil vs Chile

Spain vs Croatia

Colombia vs Italy

England vs Japan

France vs Bosnia

Argentina vs Ecuador

Germany vs South Korea

Belgium vs Portugal

Brazil vs Colombia

Span vs England

France vs Germany

Argentina vs Portugal

Brazil vs France

Spain vs Argentina

Argentina beat Brazil

Spain's midfield is the weakest it has been since the 2006 World Cup. Xavi is no longer the player he is, and they really need to hope Costa plays a blinder as a striker. I think Germany will probably do less as well than expected, largely down to the fact they have no strikers. Going to be interesting.

If England get through the group, then we'll make the quarter finals, which would be deemed a huge success, largely down to the fact we have an excellent group of players coming through which bodes well for the future.

If England finish 2nd in their group then I doubt they would beat Colombia in the Last 16.

I think we would probably get beat by them too, but saying that, I think Ivory Coast could well win that group. Right now England could easily win their group. All ifs and buts at the moment.

Well I think England would beat Colombia or Ivory Coast but lose in the quarters against a top team.

Depends how we play against the top teams. If Roy sets us up to defend, then I think we could surprise some of the big hitters, especially if we play on the counter attack, which we definitely have the squad to do so..

Here's how I think it'll pan out:

Second Round

Brazil v Spain

Colombia v Italy

France v Nigeria

Portugal v Russia

Mexico v Netherlands

Ivory Coast v Uruguay

Switzerland v Argentina

Germany v Belgium

Quarter Finals

Brazil v Italy

France v Portugal

Netherlands v Uruguay

Argentina v Belgium

Semi Finals

Brazil v Portugal

Netherlands v Argentina

Final

Brazil v Argentina

1. Brazil

2. Argentina

3. Portugal

4. Netherlands

WINNER: Brazil

DARK HORSE: Holland

FLOPS: Uruguay

WINNER: Brazil

DARK HORSE: Holland

FLOPS: Uruguay

Can't exactly call them dark horses AFTER winning 5-1 vs. Spain
