I didn't watch the match, but I'm glad Kvitova whooped Bouchard overrated ass (sorry for the rudeness).

I really wanted Halep to win the Wimbledon, but I'm also sure Venus could've won this tournament if she'd managed to beat Kvitova.

The problem is that while Kvitova did play exceptionally, Bouchard was not playing her best either. Yes she was never going to have an easy time but even her serving was terrible - did she get a single first serve in during the final game of the first set? Her serve was the main flaw I found, which did sound like nerves to me, but I do agree that otherwise she was just run ragged by Kvitova.

The comments on that article are truly atrocious though. Between those saying Bouchard is a terrible person to those saying women should demand to play in the men's tour and those saying women's tennis should be discontinued altogether ("stick to the hoovering ladies"). I think we all know that women's tennis is not of the same quality of the men's but that doesn't mean it's worthless.

On another note I can't believe Venus gave Kvitova the best match of anyone in the tournament. Before I didn't think too much of her loss but who knows where she'd have gone had she actually won that match. Hopefully it's a good sign for her.

Not sure how Djoko is EVER gonna break Federer again if he keeps serving like this.
PRAYING that Federer can drag this out to 5 sets. It's been probably the best match I've watched from this year already.
More than deserved. Sad for Fed tho.
Well congratulations to Novak, that was a well-earned victory after an amazing match. I really hope Federer can get that 8th win next year but time's running out for him I think. :(
Roger is such a gracious loser, as much as he's obviously gutted you can tell he was grateful just to play that match.

Djokovic is a joker, my favourite will always be Federer though
