I was going to suggest that Redknapp was angered at not getting any new players but, apparently, he needs to take a few weeks out for a knee operation.

I think the timing is too coincidental for that. Fairly obvious that he was annoyed QPR couldn't bring the players he needs in. I reckon Timmy Sherwood will be the next manager.

West Ham really unlucky today. I think they play so much better without Carroll.

Top 4 race is wide open, just like the relegation battle!

I don't think City will win the league now. They've not won in their last four premier league matches and are 7 points behind Chelsea. Leicester City have sacked Pearson what I think is their best decision.

Massive result for WBA to draw 2-2 at Burnley today especially seeing how they were 2-0 down. Southampton I think will finish 6th, I'm still hoping that Liverpool manage top four what is possible following Man United and Arsenal underperforming this weekend.

It is the best decision to sack Pearson. Not been officially confirmed though. Although it is inevitable that we'll get the news that he has been sacked soon. Bizarre incident with him and James McArthur in yesterday's match against Crystal Palace. What was that about?

Hard to see Man City gaining back points in the title race. Chelsea now red-hot favourites to win the title.

I think that the last two Top4 places could go down to the last day possibly. With 5 teams in contention with either Southampton, Man Utd, Arsenal, Tottenham and Liverpool completing for those places.

Leicester looking sure-fire favourites to go back down along with QPR and Burnley possibly.

7 points is nothing, but City have been poor since Christmas. They miss Toure, and it's sad when they've spent all that money and they still rely no him no end!

Pearson sacking has been coming, can only assume it was the grappling incident which made him go, otherwise seems silly not to sack him during the transfer window to get someone in to shape the squad.

So close, 5 points really is nothing. I wouldn't like to predict who would finish Top 4 right now cos I think any of Southampton, Arsenal, Liverpool, Man Utd and Spurs can all make it. All 5 are in decent form too which makes it all the more harder!

I went to the West Ham Man United game today and how United are top 4 is beyond me! di Maria and Falcao were so disappointing and Rooney's contribution was limited to mouthing off at the ref

On the other hand, West Ham were excellent - Carroll has been in good form this year but the team looks better with Sakho and Valencia as strikers. They stretch the centre backs, but their decision making is a bit dodgy. Whole team played well though, even the much maligned Nolan.

United were beyond poor today and I say that as a United fan. We didn't deserve a point out of that game, West Ham should have taken all three.

That having been said, Song should have been red carded a long time before Shaw was but then again that ref has a history of being a prick to us so it's not surprising.

Not sure Song deserved to be sent off, a yellow was probably right on balance. Only person who deserved one was Rooney! He did that sarcastic clapping thing after he was booked and he's been sent off for it before.

Sakho & Valencia have sheer pace, which is a problem for any team. They make good runs and allow you to be more dynamic. While Carroll is a good player, he doesn't make the same runs Sakho does and it slows your play down. That was half his problem at Liverpool. Which means you can just revert to aimless balls in the box and the long ball for him to hold up. Nolan just has an excellent football brain. I think he's pretty limited in his ability, but his footballing brain is immense. I think 8th is realistically where West Ham will finish, but definitely room to build on!

As for Man United, I've said this all year. Save for one or two performances they're just as bad as they were under Moyes. The one massive grace that with the sheer amount of of quality they have, even when they're playing awful, they have a player on the pitch who can make something out of nothing. Ultimately they've taken advantage of the poor starts Liverpool/Arsenal/Spurs have made. I think they're quite solid defensively, but as an attacking unit they're blunt. Rooney in central midfield is absolutely dire, I've genuinely no idea what he does there. And di Maria is atrocious. Bugs me how the media are not really picking up on him for being shit. He will be off in the summer, I guarantee it.

I still think Moyes deserved more time and I'm sure that Manchester United would have been in a better situation this season with more players rather than overspending like LVG.

I believe Moyes had similar points / more in comparison to LVG this time last year which makes it even more disheartening.

Di Maria is this season's Ozil - started well then gone off the boil over the winter months.

Difference is the players never played for Moyes. His style was never set up for a big team, I think Van Gaal suits them much better in that respect. But the one thing Moyes got right was getting the best out of Rooney. But all in all I don't think they've progressed much at all considering the money spent. Their performances are consistently poor, and unless they improve their luck will run out eventually. Spurs & Liverpool (and Arsenal when they're with Sanchez..) are playing at a much higher level at the moment, which has got to be worrying for Man Utd.

Plenty of games going on right now - currently watching Liverpool v Tottenham which is evenly poised at 1-1. A very good game to watch, Liverpool looking more like last season with Sturridge playing.

Also, QPR winning away!?! Hope Hull beat Villa, although they do have a habit of doing JUST enough to stay up.

Thank Christ the Gunners hung on after that Leicester goal. Probably should've been an easier win for us.

Spurs doing well. Kane is a God send for them.

Some good results tonight. I thought that was the worst Liverpool played for a while actually, mainly because Gerrard cannot play CM anymore, and it's way too easily to bypass him. Great result, Spurs were impressive, but their second goal was absolutely farcical!

Massive win for Hull. In Jelavic stays fit I think they stay up, and QPR winning away from home!? Madness. I wonder if either team will now kick on and find a bit of form, as that's the only way to be guaranteed of staying up at the moment.

Aston Villa have sacked Paul Lambert as their boss following their defeat against Hull City. Inevitable really wasn't it?

About time really, my Villa supporting mate is delighted! Only Mick McCarthy with Sunderland lost 50 games in the league so quickly!

Hopefully they don't stay up though.

Might be too little too late though... be really interesting to see who they get. Certainly someone whose a free agent you would have thought!
