I think that Sunderland V Leicester will decide who goes down out of those two along with Burnley and QPR
Think Leicester will be fine by then. They have literally the best game they could have hoped for right now this weekend (a useless Newcastle at home) & by the time they play QPR on the final day they'll probably be mathematically safe.

Surely the QPR match should have been postponed? Bit hard on those players now giving the circumstances.

I think it's up to the home club, but it's hard to postpone games at this late stage of the season. Plus I think they would rather play, less pressure if they need to get a result in another weeks time...

Newcastle are so screwed. I really think they'll go down.

While they look absolutely awful, they need Sunderland to not win. I think 35 points might just be enough.

but I still think newcastle will go down as will Burnley 1-0 down ATM at West Ham

I hope they both go down to be honest.

No chance of that now. Having failed to send Leicester down, we have probably finished off Burnley today.

The one thing going in Newcastle's favour is that you couldn't get a much better run-in than West Brom, QPR and West Ham. On current form, however, they'd lose all three. All the teams below them only need one win if that happens.

Agree that's the one thing in their favour. But their players look down and defeated. At least they have Cisse to come back, who is a threat and might score a goal or two.

Burnley just can't score goals, and QPR were just shocking today. Couldn't even get a point against a Liverpool team that cannot score for toffee (yes I know we scored two goals today, but that's beside the point!). Hull vs Burnley next week is huge.

The big Sunderland problem is their last two games of the season are away against Arsenal and Chelsea. Guess their saving grace is they hope both teams will be mathematically 2nd and 1st by then.

Pissed off doesn't cut it. If Liverpool didn't give up after the Arsenal game we would have been 4th.

Man Utd absolutely spineless. That purple patch was just a blip thank God :D

Well this keeps things interesting! Had Liverpool beaten Hull it really would have been back on.

May still go to the last day, Liverpool won't win at Chelsea but then again United won't win against Palace or Arsenal so may have to rely on Brucie doing us a favour on the last day (and Mark Hughes ).

9 points will get Liverpool top 4, but truth is there's no chance of that happening  I wouldn't be surprised if we beat Chelsea and then lost to Stoke on the final day.

But true, keeps it interesting at least. By 7.30pm next Saturday we will know a lot more.

I don't think a Liverpool player scoring for Toffees would be very popular

Just got back from Upton Park and its clear to see why Burnley are going down. Plenty of spirit and endeavour, but ultimately little quality. Forced Adrian into some good saves, but I never got the feeling they'd equalise and West Ham largely controlled the game.

Not sure why Ings is being hyped, his finishing was shocking!

QPR and Burnley are near enough down so it's one place left between 5 teams; Sunderland, Leicester, Hull, Newcastle and Aston Villa.

Shitting myself tbh.

I hate to say it but United played a good game yesterday and sorely deserved a minimum of one point. They were really unlucky.

HOWEVER that sets Arsenal up super well for a top three finish, so no complaints :D
