August 9, 201410 yr Wait at you just scrapping Headlines all together, when it gave them their best charting album Well, i've just kinda brung them as one, with a reissue of the album with bonus tracks. Of corse, in my world 'Wordshaker' wouldn't have been such a flop!
August 10, 201410 yr I just know the singles I would have done and the projected chart positions. Chasing Lights If This Is Love (Top 10) Up (Top 5) Issues (Top 5) Just Can't Get Enough (Top 3) Work (Top 10) (no change, had Work gone top 10, I would have done a poll between Chasing Lights, Fall, Set Me Off and Keep Her as 6th single) Wordshaker Ego (#1) One Shot (#1) Here Standing (Top 5) Lose Control (Top 10) Headlines! (Which would have been a full album) Missing You (#1) Higher (Top 5) Karma (Top 10) Puppet (Top 10) On Your Radar Notorious (Top 10) All Fired Up (Top 3) My Heart Takes Over (Top 20) Faster (Top 10) Get Ready, Get Set (Top 10) 30 Days (re-release) (Top 10) Living For The Weekend What About Us (#1) Not Giving Up (Top 3) Disco Love (Top 5) Leave A Light On (Top 5) Anywhere With You (Top 10) Lease My Love (Top 10) Edited August 10, 201410 yr by Juliano
May 14, 201510 yr This was briefly touched on in the Not Giving Up topic so thought I'd bump this topic!
May 19, 201510 yr I know I already posted an earlier one, but I've decided to do a different one with a bit more detail and looking at my last one, my opinion has changed. Chasing Lights Era If This Is Love Up Issues Just Can't Get Enough Work I know this one is the exactly the same, that's because I found this era already perfect as it was and there is nothing I would change about it, only bring out "Work" a week or two earlier so it would have a better chance and charted higher. Wordshaker era Forever Is Over Ego Lose Control Here Standing I think the first 2 singles were already fine as they already are, but they could have easily brought out another 2 singles instead of giving up way too quickly, I honestly think that if more singles were brought out then the album would have sold better. After "Ego" was brought out in January they could have followed it with "Lose Control" in around March '10 and that could have been another hit for them, and then in May bring out "Here Standing" a ballad that shows off a different side to the album. Headlines Era Higher Missing You Puppet They could have brought out "Higher" as the lead single in August '10 and have the album follow straight after. Then release "Missing You" in about November for the X-Mas rush and then in Jan/Feb '11 bring out another single "Puppet" to increase album sales and help it stay around longer. On Your Radar era Notorious All Fired Up Get Ready Get Set My Heart Takes Over Faster Not much to change here only instead of "MHTO" to lead the album, "GRGS" would have had a better chance and would have performed better and then they could have brought out My Heart Takes Over in January 2012 and then maybe another single if that worked out. Living For The Weekend era 30 Days What About Us Not Giving Up Disco Love Leave A Light On Finest Selection - The Greatest Hits era 808 Walking Through The Desert Edited June 2, 201510 yr by Acidburn
May 26, 201510 yr Am I the only one who thinks WTTD would've had a better shot at success than WAYWF or 808? WAYWF and 808 might be more well liked by the fans, but I think WTTD is the only one that would've stood a chance at getting Radio 1 support and having an ounce of longevity.
