The girls' last chart topper at the height of their careers with their worst album (debut aside). Still it has its fans on Buzzjack and I suppose it is a classic track of sorts so a top 50 placing is deserved. 'Easy' falls out at 49, with its 'Gentleman' esque lyrics and latex laden video, I'm delighted this has managed the top half. Criminally underrated in the official charts, peaking at a measly number 8. Another Sugababes single to peak at that position was 'In The Middle'. Another cracking single from one of the best girl band albums, 'Three'. The most recent single in the countdown, 'Salute' by Little Mix manages to make it to 47. Their BGT performance with Diversity gave us the best girl band TV performance in years. The Saturdays lose another single from their debut album, 'Work' drops out at 46. No 11's but lots of high marks, with only Satsophobic Dandy deeming the track worthless.

June 30, 201411 yr I agree The Promise is very overrated, I do like it but it wouldn't be in my top 10 GA singles, far from it, and they certainly have loads of wayyyyy better songs. Salute, Work, Easy and In The Middle are all amazing :wub:
June 30, 201411 yr "The Promise" is my second least favourite GA single after "Can't Speak French", pleasing to see it only just scrape top half. :heehee: I find "Salute" to be pretty overrated as well, if I were to rank the album it's unlikely I'd have it in the top half. "In The Middle" is quite the jam though.
June 30, 201411 yr I'm never sure where I stand with 'The Promise'. I think I always resent it because they finally got another genuinely huge #1 single that wasn't a charity release, and the song just wasn't that outstanding? I guess it's pretty similar to my opinion of 'What About Us' for The Saturdays. It's grown on me a lot recently though, and Sarah's adlib is pretty fab. Love 'In The Middle' and 'Work', both are really quite underrated and could do with being a bit higher. 'Salute' I think is suffering from the same thing as 'Not Giving Up' and is maybe a little too recent to be fairly compared with the rest. I also like 'Easy', but I don't think it was strong enough, or really a good representation of what the Sugababes were about, to launch a Greatest Hits.
June 30, 201411 yr Girls Aloud 'The Promise'! :( It gets too much hate, definitely one of my favourites. I'm glad it at least made it into the top half though. Sugababes I didn't think 'In The Middle' would prove this popular! I love it. :wub: Heidi's middle 8 amuses me for some reason, it's freaky but I'm ready for this bumpy ride... :kink: 'Easy' is also criminally underrated. Little Mix I thought 'Salute' would end higher than that! This track is now my 4th favourite single of theirs, behind Wings, DNA & Move. The Saturdays 'Work' is a fab slice of pop. Still an injustice that it missed the Top 20. :o

Again I have great memories of this so it's a shame it couldn't quite make top 40. Sugababes 3.0 lose 2 more singles with 'Denial' and 'Change' falling out at 44 and 42 respectively. Both brilliant songs from a brilliant album, but let's take a moment for 'My Love Is Pink', the single that never was. :( All Saints only have 3 songs remaining as 'Rock Steady' falls out at 43. Their comeback seemed so promising. Just missing the top 40 is The Saturdays and 'Notorious'. I'm a little gutted this hasn't made the top 40 and I don't know why I didn't give it a 10! I guess I didn't want to be a full blown Sats loon just yet.
June 30, 201411 yr Issues is beautiful :wub: Higher than I expected too. Notorious is very overrated for me though, I like it but it's definitely at the tail end of their singles for me if I were to rank them. Change and Denial are two of the Sugababes' best I think!

June 30, 201411 yr Sugababes How strange that the Vevo upload of 'Change' is only 1:42 in length! :lol: 'Change' is beautiful. :wub: I was so disappointed when it only reached #13 in the charts - it was majorly overshadowed by 'About You Now', which was still in the Top 20 when 'Change' was released. In fact the week after 'Change' peaked at #13, it fell to #17, while 'About You Now' climbed from #19 to #12! The Saturdays 'Issues' is lovely. :heart: So pleased it made the 40s area here, as it does seem largely disliked in The Saturdays' forum section here. This was such an important hit for them, so I'm glad to see there's a fair amount of appreciation here. Would have liked to have seen 'Notorious' higher than 41st. All Saints 'Rock Steady' was such a fantastic comeback for All Saints... a real shame that comeback proved to be short lived! :(

June 30, 201411 yr 'Change' and 'Issues' are both incredible. Never got 'Notorious' at all and it still annoys me. Glad to see Spice Girls have the highest percentage of their singles still to come :o This thread has made me fan for them all over again :wub:
June 30, 201411 yr Change and Denial are two of the Sugababes' best I think! So are! :wub: Change was a bit of shit album, but you can't get a more perfect trio of singles like they got from it!
