Meanwhile a hip-hip/country hybrid appeared out of nowhere into #11 (Do It Like This). Between the unusually large number of country artists, tweeny youtube (or whatever) stars, and some really bad comebacks (Anaconda is absolutely atrocious and Maps is par for the course Maroon 5 trash), the iTunes chart is a hot mess at the moment. I'm hoping/assuming some of the summer's sleeper hits will eventually prevail (Chandelier, Boom Clap, Stay with Me, Rather Be).

I fully believe this will miss the top 20. It's funny that the fifth single from 'Teenage Dream' was fighting for #01 :lol:

I'm sure this will somehow get a ridiculous amount of airplay. I'm hoping that she decides to not release anymore singles from Prism because I can't help but think the campaign is over.

To be quite honest she should have stopped after 'Birthday'. I don't know what they were thinking with this single, they could at least have tried to replicate 'E.T' by getting an artist to feature on it but they just chucked out a video when it's obvious that's not enough for her anymore.

Tbh, I don't even think they are good enough to be singles. The album has lots of nice filler songs but bar Roar and Dark Horse, nothing else screams massive hit (well unconditionally did but her live performances killed that).

True, her management have been woeful this era which is crazy when you think how incredible they were for Teenage Dream. She needs to abandon this era and prep album #4. Maybe do a couple of features in the meantime.
