New Release Schedule: Friday 18 April
Looking like another quiet week for big releases. Bar Fontaines DC and potentially Addison Rae, I can’t see anything from this week immediately taking off. ☹️ Would love to see people get behind Nelly Furtado of course, but after their last album’s performance, I have low expectations. EDIT: lol, forgot about Lana. Given ‘Henry, come on’ came and dropped away pretty quick, I would expect the same with Bluebird but to a smaller scale.

Would happily never listen to Lose Control ever again at this point.

Kinda hoping Wet Leg land at 74 to keep for chart history all being 74 peaks. 😄

Pop Track of the Week
Another great pop/dance song from Louise this week. Was a bit disappointed by Marina’s after the first two singles, but might grow. Same for Sugababes.

About time Janet had a viral hit! Really hope this blows up more (and brings some more of her catalogue with it). Sad Someone To Call My Lover isn't even certified silver yet here, despite being a respectable hit at the time.

Leona Lewis
Nice to finally hear something new and hopefully a sign the album is nearly complete. 🤞

2025 BPI Certifications
Seems mad to me that These Dreams has only just been certified. Great to see another Mis-Teeq certification too.

Same. Whilst it will no doubt do well week 1 and probably be a stable hit, it doesn’t sound like a long running #1 like Bad Habits or Shivers IMO. Think it might be another few weeks of Ordinary at the top.

It doesn't look like Prelude or Something Beautiful broke the the top 200 here, in the USA or on the global chart. Something Beautiful definitely isn't commercial and wasn't hyped up, so not that surprised it hasn't done anything. Hopefully the official single will deliver.

Kesha feat. T-Pain - YIPPEE-KI-YAY.
Really wanted to get into this but after several lists, I just find it cringeworthy.

2025 BPI Certifications
Some great certifications to see this week. About time Oops went 2 x plat and I Am Not A Robot certified at last! Would love to see Shampain certified, but expect it will be one of the mentioned album tracks that went viral next. Btw, it was the Sign ‘O’ The Times concert film that was certified rather than the song (or album).

Not the biggest fan of Ordinary (don’t get the hate on here though), but nice to see healthy sales at the top now and finally with a 2025 release. If Anxiety could suddenly get a big boost to take over, that would be my preference still.

Sam Ryder - White Lies
Been enjoying this since its release. Shame the post Eurovision support has dried up, but I am sure Sam will continue to do well with touring.
-
Ava Max - Lost Your Faith
Gutted this has done nothing for Ava. Don’t know if it is playlist support or a lack of UK promo, but it does feel like her chart career is over. 😭

Louise - Confessions
Love Me More is a bop! 🔥 Getting hyped for this album now. I hope the rest of the album is as strong as the singles so far.
