Friday Chart Predictions
Wiki suggest label politics are the reason with Sony owning the rights and also oversee Dolly’s catalogue, while Kenny’s album was Sony but is now (bar IITS) licensed by his own label with Capitol.

Considering how late the news was in the UK, those are impressive numbers. Definitely feeling optimistic we could see multiple Dolly tracks charting on Friday.

I wish the OCC would relax their 3 track cap as it is so frustrating in cases like this that songs people are connecting with don’t get a chance to chart. Such an iconic artist so I am glad she is getting a lot of love. Wouldn’t be surprised based on the Apple performance so far if we do see some Dolly make the top 40 on Friday, given the low sales climate we’re currently in.

While I am sad Animal hasn't made top 10, I low key love that their last 3 (lead) singles have peaked 16 - 14 - 12. Maybe Hootie Frootie will eventually get that #10 spot another week and continue the trend.

Jamaican (Bam Bam) is such an earworm! Addicted to this right now.

Ariana Grande’s Official Top 40 biggest songs in the UK
Don’t know how they missed Bang Bang, but we know that passed 4 x platinum earlier this year, so safe to say it is #3.

Rank the top 10 most streamed songs of all time
The lack of female representation (besides Kyla) is striking. Starboy - the one 10/10 for me. Was obsessed with it when it came out and still love it now. Sunflower - my second favourite Post song after Circles. 9/10 Blinding Lights - a great song but not even the best song on its own album #justiceforInYourEyes 8/10 Shape Of You - still very catchy 8/10 Someone You Loved - the better of the two slow/ballad songs on the list 7.5/10 Perfect - Beyoncé duet benefited this 7/10 As It Was - never understood the hype for this but I do like it. 6/10 One Dance - has aged well and like it more than I did on release 6/10 Sweater Weather - so low purely because it is the only one i can’t recall without listening to it. Not bad, but not very memorable. I understand this the USA’s Mr Brightside as the song that never leaves the Spotify chart, so imagine this would be much lower if just UK. 4/10 Stay - can’t stand The Kid Laroi’s voice and the shouting which spoils this for me. Production is the only saving grace but not enough to give this more than a 3/10.

Ultra Nate charting almost 30 years after her peak was definitely not on my 2026 bingo card, let alone getting another top 10 hit.

This Alyssa grace is unlistenable to me. Sounds like she is having the hiccups or trying to yodel throughout. So glad Camera made it in after the last two singles didn’t do enough to break top 40.

Robyn only now getting her fourth week top 40 with DOMO is criminal.

2026 BPI Certifications
Some great certifications already announced. CMAT, Britney and Spice Girls all in the same week.

Friday Chart Predictions
Love that we are looking at a chart battle for the first time in a while. Rooting for Shakira, as unlikely she will have another chance. Also not convinced this is Sam’s last chance to get that extra week at #1. Ariana is certainly not guaranteed to bag it next week.

UK Singles Chart new entry of the week | 2026 Weeks 20 & 30
Went for Charli, Calvin and Harry for the first week. None of the above for the second. Both a bit boring.

Ouch at every Charli track besides Camera dropping out the top 200. Hopefully we see some recovery.

UK Singles Chart new entry of the week | 2026 Weeks 19 & 29
Voted Madonna/Sabrina, Sienna, Zara/Shakira week 1 and Olivia R week 2. The rest were all a bit boring for me or just plain bad. Trapped has at least made me want to listen to the original and far superior version by Colonel Abrams.

70 Years of the UK Albums Chart
Thanks for sharing these! Bit surprised (and gutted) Leona’s Spirit album isn’t in the 2000’s list. Album seems to stream pretty well on Spotify and has a number of high profile singles, so Dizzee Rascall making it over Spirit seems odd.

Top 100 Singles + Albums; W/E 16/07/26
4 Bonnie Tyler songs made the top 100 sales and downloads chart. For some reason, It’s A Heartache is listed under her birth name. Thought it might be from a label difference from that era and her bigger hits that came after, but Lost In France which preceded them all is listed as Bonnie Tyler. Bizarre.

2026 BPI Certifications
The 5 Colours In Her Hair certifications are so confusing. Have the gold certification this week + the separate gold certification from last month with Get Over You, even though 5CIHH wasn't a double A side and Get Over You was the B side to Obviously.

iTunes Weekly Thread w/c 10th July 2026
Nice to see It’s a Heartache getting a lot of love. I know it was a big hit back in the 70s, but it isn’t a song you hear much of these days compared to Total Eclipse and Holding Out For A Hero.

Bonnie Tyler Passes away
Such sad news, though not completely unexpected after the health issues in recent months. Not that there is ever a good day to pass away, the news breaking on a Thursday will reduce any impact people streaming Bonnie’s music will have in the UK. Hopefully there is enough love for Total Eclipse Of A Heart and a couple of her other hits to sustain enough interest and chart next week.

Two new entries in a row! RMB was as bad as expected, but will take any new music charting after the state of last week’s chart.

2026 BPI Certifications
There are still quite a few from that period which haven't gone silver yet. Just looking at the top 200 from 2010 and 2011, these are the ones I couldn't find certifications for - some were not far off 200k so either were missed through some error or have just done very badly since release: 2010 Top 200 uncertified hits 186,700 - Fyfe Dangerfield - She's Always A Woman 140,600 - Jedward with Vanilla Ice - Under Pressure (Ice Ice Baby)* 140,100 - Pixie Lott - Gravity 133,900 - Chipmunk feat Talay Riley - Look For Me 131,700 - Scissor Sisters - Fire With Fire 124,000 - Glee Cast - Halo / Walking On Sunshine 117,600 - Gramophonedzie - Why Don’t You 109,600 - Sugababes - Wear My Kiss 102,100 - Gabriella Cilmi - On A Mission 91,600 - McFly - Party Girl 91,200 - Joe McElderry - Ambitions 2011 Top 200 uncertified hits 175,000 - Cher Lloyd feat Mike Posner - With Ur Love 174,600 - Jessie J - Who's Laughing Now 167,200 - The X Factor Finalists 2011 feat JLS & One Direction- Wishing On A Star* 127,800 - Kelly Rowland feat The Wav.s - Down For Whatever 127,200 - Katy B - Broken Record 112,600 - Take That - Love, Love 99,800 - Alex Gaudino feat Kelly Rowland - What A Feeling 99,600 - LMFAO feat Natalia Kills - Champagne Showers 97,800 - Tinchy Stryder feat Melanie Fiona- Let It Rain 95,000 - Katy B - Easy Please Me *don’t believe you can stream or buy these two anywhere now

The BuzzJack Friday Chart Show Thread: 26th June 2026
I try to not be too mopey about the state of the charts (we got enough of that on here), but what an awful week. No new entries or climbers into the top 40 for the first time and an unnecessary reset for Wonderwall, when it should be on permanent ACR. Can’t see any benefit to letting it back on SCR at this point like the fleetwood mac ones a few weeks ago. If the point of ACR is to boost new music into the top end of the chart, these resets are not doing new music any favours.
