Echo that, first entry I can really get behind for you (though I did like some of your others). Stunning song and thinking it's yours to lose at the moment if I'm honest!
everyone's seeing the light noah! i've firmly backed you since my first competition and this song proves exactly why; rooting for you!

Hmm I think you might be reaching a bit with that analysis

This is great anyhow, and a massive grower. A good thing you had a SMASH in the bag for this month so your circumstances didn't deny you another qualifier ~ (very sorry to hear about that by the way).

Reaching ?! Nah, all the signs are blindingly obvious! And thanks, appreciate it.

famous :funky:

(i like 'TV' too)

<3 'TV', backing you all the way noah.

Definitely the winner imo.

This hype, it's all so sudden :drama:! Don't know what to make of it really as the song doesn't sound/feel like a big contender to me for whatever reason (despite loving it obviously)! Thanks though, we will see...

Ha, cheers Callum, you have! You were there for 'You Always Know The DJ' when barely anyone else was - in fact I believe you were responsible for 10 of its 21 points! Glad you got the appeal.

Not quite, it was second (?) in my opening odds :o

I've been with Desbuanda all the way as well! Ignoring the false start of 'Lions, Tigers, Bears' I've thrown at least a semi-final point to every single one of your entries :o It's almost like Ashton to Rontvia except usually about 1-3 points instead of 8-12. :kink:

3, 3, 6, 4, 1, 2 and (currently embargoed but >0) points respectively. At least I'm consistent ~

Indeed and don't think it hadn't been noticed/appreciated :D. That's quite an impressive trend actually - of course it's very much helped by the fact that we haven't been in separate semis since the 'false start' (<_<) but still!

And ooh, the return of Persbuanda is looking more likely than ever. :o

NOTHING BUT THIEVES THE BEHAVIOR SITTING PRETTY IN THE TOP TWO (along with winning act PVRIS of course)

BJSC 72 saw Desbuanda score a first ever medal position with the country's eighth contest entry; 'TV' by Eves The Behavior. The track finished in the runner-up slot behind Hushkanukia's song 'St. Patrick' by PVRIS, receiving a whopping nine sets of top marks from voters which went towards a final tally of 195 points. The Desbuandese people have rejoiced at the news of Eves' impressive performance, with widespread celebration of the song prompting a quadrupling of TV imports over the last fortnight even though the country is still almost entirely without mains electricity.

Thanks to all who voted for Desbuanda! :D

An enchanting slice of cinematic R&B from an 18 year old London schoolgirl who sounds like a cross between Michael Jackson, Justin Bieber and The Weeknd to these ears :o! This one was love on first listen.

Are you CERTAIN this is a female? She sounds uncannily like The Weeknd.

I'm glad this was an AQ for you because I like it a lot but don't think it would have made it through a semi!

Desbuanda has opted to go partying with the pop hoes this contest with a sugary, dreamy yet slightly deranged bop.

Your entry this month is something I can't even put into words. It's as if it was made for me. The vocal, the trippyness

Truly stunning

^ Really great to hear it made such a big impression on you, Kath, and thanks for the 18 points!

Laid-back instrumentation, beautifully delicate vocals and an unexpectedly POUNDING chorus that just won't stop giving. Those drums.

I like drums! :cheer:

What I don't like is when a song has an amazing chorus but only gives it to you twice. :mansoncheer:

Arguably thrice :magic: with the double/repeated chorus towards the end (which is just soooooooo good gahhhhh ) but yeah I agree it could do with another! That was actually exactly what I thought when I heard the song first. :o

Glad you're liking it anyway, cheers!

'Beauty' wasn't exactly your best entry ever (it did grow quite a lot on second listen for me though, ending up just short of my top 10 of semi 2), but it really didn't deserve the misfortune of being beaten by David Jordan album track :') Will Desbuanda ever live this down? The Hayden James legacy begs to differ perhaps :o

For this month's contest, Desbuanda proudly presents an enchanting remix of the latest single from electronic duo Wol

Falling just short of getting Persephonian (would-be) votes and thus definitively ending one of Desbuanda's proudest traditions is an even tougher pill to swallow than DNQ'ing tbh :(...buuuut not as traumatising as losing to a David Jordan album track obvs :')

Lol thankfully we're not relevant enough for a Hayden James-esque legacy and can just sweep this whole thing under the carpet~
