In this next section of The Prodigy rate we see three of The Prodigy's earlier tracks crash out earlier, due to not being as recent as the higher inclusions and as standout as their most trademark songs from that time. 'Girls' makes a surprisingly high standing at #14, amassing three 10s but also attracting quite a few lower scores. The title track from their last studio album amasses a VERY shocking FIVE 10s, but due to fans who prefer their earlier work also attributing low scores to the song, it has to settle for unlucky number #13. The final song in this section is 'Poison', which loses out on a tie of 10s with the track that just missed out on the Top 10, but with a high average of 7.97, which really speaks for the quality of this groups output in this girl's honest opinion.

Just beating out 'Poison' in a neck-in-neck tie for 11th place and JUST missing out on the Top 10 is the song that started it all - 'Charly', which was the group's first foray into the UK Top 40 (becoming their first Top 5 hit at #02) and was a rave sensation in the Summer of 1991, thanks to its cheeky sample of a popular PSA involving the titular-named cat. Above that is the group's LAST foray into the UK Top 5 (peaking at #04) - the haunting ghost-story soundtrack from hell 'Omen', which surprised all Prodigy nay-sayers in 2009. Tying with that is the first of two entries for the iconic 'Voodoo People' - the Pendulum remix - which shows how to take a classic and give it a fresh and updated sound without detracting from the true elements of the original (take note Audio Bullys)! However, showing that the original really does stand the test of time, 'Voodoo People' narrowly beats its updated form by a mere 0.5 average points.

Yas at 'Warrior's Dance' being the highest of the 'Invaders' singles <3 Hope that is at least top 5.

The Pendulum remix of 'Voodoo People' is GD but as if it's that close to the original!

Poison and Charly not in the top 10? You lot are mad!

005 'Warrior's Dance' † AVG: 9.00 (less 10s)

HIGH: 11 {✖ ketalina ✖} _ LOW: 06 {richie}

006 'Smack My Bitch Up' † AVG: 8.88

HIGH: 11 {Thermo} _ LOW: 03 {gooddelta}

007 'Everybody In The Place' † AVG: 8.79

HIGH: 11 {RabbitFurCoat, richie} _ LOW: 05 {Grebo}

As we approach the top tier of their hits we see some large averages, with the whole of the top 5 scoring at least 9.00. In 7th place is the third highest early cut from the group (with 'Out Of Space' and 'No Good (Start The Dance)' still to feature in the Top 4), whilst the highly controversial 'Smack My Bitch Up' evens out the small amount of haters (gooddelta, I see you!) with an outpouring of love to bring it to 6th place. Losing out on a tie for 4th place is the sensational 'Warrior's Dance', which received a decent score from every voter, scoring no less than a 6 and being my personal favourite track of the bunch. This might be due to the fact it does hark back to their earlier 90's sound, and comes across like quintessential Prodigy even though it was so late into their career.

Any predictions for the Top 4? The songs left are...

✖ Breathe

✖ Firestarter

✖ No Good (Start The Dance)

✖ Out Of Space

i think

1 Firestarter

2 Breathe

3 No Good

4 Out of Space

LOVE all 4, so would be fine with any of them winning!

would like Breathe to win out of that lot but all the remaining songs are good.

want;

1 Breathe

2 Out of Space

3 Firestarter

4 No Good

#2/3 are interchangeable really. both are great! I think Firestarter will win as its their signature tune, which I wouldn't mind happening

Yay top 5 for 'Warrior's Dance' :D Pleasantly surprised to see 'Everybody In The Place' as high as #7 considering how old it is. The top 4 are probably the 4 I'd have expected to be up there (certainly 'Firestarter', 'Breathe' and 'No Good (Start The Dance)' at least).

Imma predict:

1 Firestarter

2 No Good (Start The Dance)

3 Breathe

4 Out Of Space

I gave 11 to Everybody in the Place, so I hope that's counted, it seems pretty low down considering the scores it was getting.

Of the four left, it really should be:

1. Out of Space

2. Firestarter

3. No Good

4. Breathe

...but will probably be the other way round.

Heh, it was looking like a winner at one point, but I didn't see a lot of the later rates.

'Fat Of The Land' power singles 'Firestarter' and 'Breathe' make up #04 and #03 respectively on our countdown, in what will be a surprise to some. 'Firestarter' put the fear in parents after it became a sensation in late 1996, due to its strong industrial sound which rarely made the mainstream in a similar way, or due to that video's anarchaic vibes and the 'shocking' appearance / demeanor of lead singer Keith Flint. Known as their most popular song amongst the general public and in many Best Of countdowns, it isn't actually their biggest seller. That honour goes to 'Breathe', which continued their dark and twisted return and featured the haunting gaze of Prodigy singer / dancer / hype man Maxim Reality (plus a host of insects) in the video. It seemed that a lot of you had these both down for the win, but with only two songs left... what is going to take the title of Buzzjack's favourite Prodigy song?

No Good (Start The Dance) vs. Out Of Space

an Out Of Space win would be lovely but not sure what to expect as I thought Firestarter would win
