August 25, 201410 yr Winona Ryder Another actress I admired growing up throughout the 90's, and I've seen many of her movies, Beetlejuice (one of my all time faves and plus loved Geena Davis in it as well), Heathers (fantastic movie and interesting plot and great characters), Edward Scissorhands (another fantastic movie and fond childhood memory), Mermaids (how can you not love Cher and plus loved the Shoop Shoop song, and such a great acting from Winona and Bob Hoskins), Dracula (awesome movie and again great cast0, The Age Of Innocence (not one of my faves and not really one of her best roles either), The House Of Spirits (Meryl, Winona and Glenn Close in one movie, just excellent), Little Women (just loved so heartbreaking), Alien Ressurection (okay not the best in the franchise, but far more enjoyable than part 3), Girl Interrupted (She was great in this, but shame she got overshadowed by Angelina Jolie, Winona deserved some praise as well), Autumn In New York (tripe) and Lost Souls (just awful), Mr Deeds (overrated), Black Swan (her only decent role in the last 10 years) and The Dilemma (again just terrible and unfunny comedy). She was a great actress and remember she was everywhere during the 90;s, shame she don't get decent roles anymore, hope she makes a comeback someday.

August 28, 201410 yr Author Total Points : 6 Maggie Smith http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ijC1KxCUSyE/TjbMewswc9I/AAAAAAAAecY/Ed9yRCUzDiQ/s1600/maggie%20smith%20belfast%20telegraph.jpg We have to admit that Maggie Smith is a great actress!! Basically, she is a living legend and she is one of the most recognisable British actresses!!! We loved many of her roles and her participation is always the highlight to every movie! She has appeared in over 50 films. She was appointed Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire (DBE) in the 1990 New Year Honours for services to the performing arts! She has a wide variety of roles and she has won many awards!! Her list of awards and nominations is too long (Academy Awards, Bafta Awards, Golden Globe Awards, Satellite Awards, Critics Awards, Emmy Awards, Tony Awards etc). However, her two notable awards were the Academy Award for Best Actress for The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie (1969) and Best Supporting Actress for California Suite (1978). She is one of only six actresses to win the Academy Award in both Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress categories. The new generations love her because of her role in Harry Potter as Professor Minerva McGonagall. She is very unique..AaronTM had her name on his list. I have watched a few of her movies so far : Death on the Nile (Great film, great story, great performances), California Suite (Very good movie, clever quotes/dialogues, Maggie is stunning there), Hook (very entertaining film), Sister Act (hilarious), Sister Act 2 : Back in the Habbit (Not so great as the first film), Harry Potter (It used to be a tradition) and Keeping Mum (Very funny movie). I would suggest you to watch "Death on the Nile" because Agatha Christie has exceptional novels, "California Suite" because it's a nice story and Maggie's character is intriguing, Hook because it was a great book-to-film adaptation, Sister Act because it has an original script and funny performances, Harry Potter because it has great production and Keeping Mum because you will laugh a lot with the story/characters. I feel that I haven't followed her fimography yet when I watched so many bad movies in the past (Shame on me!) Edited August 28, 201410 yr by Insomnio
August 28, 201410 yr Author Total Points : 6 Emily Watson  http://www3.pictures.zimbio.com/gi/Emily%20Watson%20Lancia%20Cafe%20Hosts%20Oranges%20Sunshine%20RnXAj6Encr0l.jpg Another brilliant actress!!! Emily Watson is an English actress!! Critics praised her talent for her performance in Lars von Trier's Breaking the Waves. It was her debut film. She also received Academy Award nominations for Best Actress for her role in Breaking the Waves and Hilary and Jackie. She had a great beginning but it seems that she stuggles to find a suitable role these days. It doesn't mean that she makes bad choices but she needs to have an intriguing character for recognition again. She is out of the league with her latest roles. Director Jean-Pierre Jeunet wrote the character Amélie for Watson to play (Amélie was originally named Emily) but she eventually turned the role down due to difficulties speaking French. She was also the first choice to play Elizabeth I. However, her acting is always good and she always likeable with her roles. Emilly committed supporter of the children's charity the NSPCC. Heezus is her best fan here.. I have watched some of her movies : Punch-drunk love (decent film with her and Adam Sandler), Red Dragon (Much better than Hannibal), Equilibrium (interesting story, underrated movie), War Horse (One of my favourite films that year, great direction, emotional ending), Anna Karenina (full of cliches) and The Book Thief (very nice story). I would suggest you to watch "The Red Dragon" because it's the prequel of "The Silence of the Lambs", "Equilibrium" because it's very special movie, "War Horse" because it's one of the best stories about horses and "The Book Thief" because the perfromances were very good and the story was great! August 28, 201410 yr Emily in Breaking the Waves is one of the most astonishing performances put on film... daring, honest and provocative.
August 28, 201410 yr Author Only ever seen Emily in Some Girl(s) but she was good in it. I haven't watched this yet but I will take it into account..When the weather gets cold, I'll start watching dvds. I have spent a fortune to the cinema. Emily in Breaking the Waves is one of the most astonishing performances put on film... daring, honest and provocative. I haven't watched this movie yet but one of my best friends told me that it was a great movie (we have the same taste about movies). I know the story and it seems very controversial but emotional too..
August 28, 201410 yr Author Total Points : 6 Naomi Watts http://www3.pictures.stylebistro.com/gi/Naomi%20Watts%20Makeup%20Berry%20Lipstick%20blSQGGf6-NRl.jpg I expected that Naomi Watts would be higher in this list. I'm a big fan of her but I hadn't her name in my list because I had to choose only 10 actresses. However, I think that she is very talented and I'm glad that someone choosed her!! I can praise her all night long but it would be quite boring for you. Naomi Watts is a British actress but I always thought that she came from Australia. Naomi was born in Shoreham, Kent, England. Her father was a road manager and sound engineer who worked with Pink Floyd. Unfortunately, he was found dead in a flat in Notting Hill, of an apparent heroin overdose (1976). Naomi moved to Sydney (her maternal grandmother was Australian) with her mother, brother and stepfather when she 14 (1982). She decided to become a model when she was 18. She signed with a models agency that sent her to Japan, but after several failed auditions, she returned to Sydney. Watts has stated about her nationality: "I consider myself British and have very happy memories of the UK. I spent the first 14 years of my life in England and Wales and never wanted to leave. When I was in Australia I went back to England a lot." She also has expressed her ties to Australia, declaring: "I consider myself very connected to Australia, in fact when people say where is home, I say Australia, because those are my most powerful memories." That's why I was confused with her nationality. Naomi has a wide variety of roles and she was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actress for her roles in "21 Grams" and "The Impossible". I believe that her nomination for a Golden Raspberry for her role in Diana was f*cking pointless. Naomi is always decent even if the movie is below average or bad. I guess that Davidson loves her acting too. I have watched many of her movies because I'm her fan : Mullholand Drive (crazy movie but it gives you food for thought/it's difficult to understand the plot), The Ring (very scary movie, great horror atmosphere, the definition of spooky), Ned Kelly (not a bad film but forgettable), Le Divorce (entertaing but forgettable too), 21 Grams (great direction, great story, great performances), I Heart Huckabees (very weird movie, I didn't like it), The Ring Two (not so great as the first film), Stay (intriguing story, unpredicatable ending), King Kong (The visual effects were great but I prefer the original film with Jessica Lange), The Painted Veil (emotional movie, nice performances), Eastern Promises (It was not a bad film but it was quite slow), The International (it had interesting story but the result wasn't the best), Mother and Child (One of my favourite social movies in the last years /it had different stories and nice cast), You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger (quite funny but it's not one of the best Woody Allen films), Dream House (very disappointing film), The Impossible (great performance, unbelievable story, great direction) and Diana (decent film). I would suggest you to watch "Mullholland Driver" because I'm still waiting for an answer, "The Ring" (especially for horror fans), "21 Grams" because it was one of the best films that year (2003), "Stay" because it will keep your attention, "The Painted Veil" because it was a great adaptation and it had great cinematography, "Mother and Child" because you will appreaciate your mothers even more and "The Impossible" because J.A Bayona's direction was so f*cking real!!
August 30, 201410 yr Maggie Smith A fantastic actress and is always a delight on screen, "The Prime Of Miss Jean Brodie" was a fantastic role for her and a great movie, well deserved Oscar win, Death On The Nile (always love a good murder mystery and such a fantastic cast as well), "Clash Of The Titans" (highly enjoyable, much better than the awful remake), "Sister Act 1&2" (great comedies, shame don't see Whoopi Goldberg anymore, but Maggie was great also in both movies), "The Secret Garden" (a nice children's movie), "The First Wives Club" (Fantastic comedy, plus Maggie shines in her supporting role, very funny aswell), "Gosford Park" (weren't that keen on, but it's okay I guess), "Harry Potter films" (Just love them all), "Keeping Mum" (Another great part for her, quite funny), & "The Best Marigold Hotel" (another great part for her) and plus "Downton Abbey" (she steals every scene). Emily Watson Not very familiar with her but in that "Appropriate Adult" she was pure perfection, and plus a really fantastic TV drama, where she won a BAFTA for Best Actress, (well deserved). Never saw Breaking The Waves but gonna some day. Gosford Park and Red Dragon are the only other roles I've seen her in and she was good in them. Naomi Watts A great actress but her movies do seem very hit and miss, The first movie I saw her in was "Tank Girl" which was a bomb, but quite fun also in a so bad it's good kinda way. "Mulholland Drive" a fantastic twisty thriller and glad it lead her to much greater fame. "The Ring" a very good remake of a Japanese horror and very scary, but the second one was terrible, and lead to a long list of American remake Japanese crap which went on for several years. "Ned Kelly" and "Le Divorce" I do agree forgettable and In my opinion quite awful. "I Heart Huckabees" another terrible waste of time, "King Kong" overlong and dull, "Funny Games" was an okay remake and she was spot on in that, "21 Grams" a great movie, "Mother And Child" another decent and great part for her, "Dream House" terrible, "The Impossible" decent and well deserved Oscar nomination, "Movie 43" I quite enjoyed, but "Diana" was awful.
September 6, 201410 yr Author Total Points : 7 Samantha Barks http://cdn.sheknows.com/articles/2012/12/Samantha-Barks-dec13-les-miserables-main.jpg The truth is that I don't know many things about Samantha Barks but her acting was very decent in "Les Miserables". I really liked "On My Own" and it was very close to be a Top 40 hit (#43). Samantha became popular because of her participation in the BBC talent show–themed television series "I'd Do Anything" in 2008. However, her role as Eponine in "Les Miserables" was the best chance to become popular almost everywhere. She received nominations for the Screen Actors Guild Award for "Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture", the Satellite Award for "Best Supporting Actress – Motion Picture", and the Broadcast Film Critics Association Award for "Best Acting Ensemble". She also won the Empire Award for "Best Female Newcomer" and shared in the National Board of Review Award for "Best Cast". We will see her in "Dracula Untold" in which she plays a character from Eastern European folk tales known as "Baba Yaga", a beautiful young woman who transforms into a savage witch. It will be released in theaters October 10, 2014. Cameron is her biggest fan here. She hasn't a "huge" filmography yet. I have watched only "Les Miserables". So, I would suggesst you to watch this movie because Samantha's part was one of the best in this film.
September 6, 201410 yr Author Total Points : 7 Emily Blunt http://www.fungur.com/uploads/2013/03/600full-emily-blunt-479x360.jpg I really like this woman although her films are so hit or miss. Emily Blunt is an English Actress. She has already played in many movies. She hasn't an Oscar nomination so far but she has been nominated for four Golden Globe Awards, two London Film Critics' Circle Awards, and one BAFTA Award. She won a Golden Globe Award for her work in the BBC television drama "Gideon's Daughter" (2007). She received the BAFTA Britannia Award for British Artist of the Year five years ago! Emily Blunt has a wide variety of roles. However, I wouldn't say that she always makes the right choices about her films. Emily had a three year relationship with Michael Bublé (She found Mr Bland..). They shared a home in Vancouver before breaking up in 2008. Emily married John Krasinsky on 10 July 2010 in Como, Italy. They have also a daughter. Emily's brother-in-law is Stanley Tucci who married Blunt's sister Felicity. Emily struggled with stuttering for seven years when she was child but it seemed that she overcame the stutter through acting. Two members had her name on their lists. I have watched some of her films : The Devil Wears Prada (overrated film but it was quite funny in some parts), Dan in Real Life (underrated film, I enjoyed it a lot), The Wolfman (I watched this movie twice in the cinema because some stupid girls laughed a lot at fist time), The Adjustment Bureau (Boring and dull), Looper (It was not bad but it was not good either) and Edge of Tomorrow (Amazing movie with great visual and sound effects). I would suggest you to watch "Dan in Real Life" because it was a decent social movie and Steve Carell shines there (Actually, I don't remember Emily) and Edge of Tomorrow because I regard it as one of the best action films this year. Emily's character was her most different role so far..
September 6, 201410 yr Samantha Barks - To be honest, never heard of her so I can't comment. Emily Blunt I agree very hit and miss and I have seen several of her movies "The Devil Wears Prada" (which I did enjoy, but got fed up with it after a while, but Meryl was on top form and Emily was fun in it also). "Irresistible" (a decent Australian thriller with Susan Sarandon and plus Emily was great in it and has some good twists, but does get boring in places though), "Dan In Real Life" (A really good movie and not overrated and in your face like all the blockbusters, just a nice small movie with Steve Carrell who I always enjoy), The Wolfman (just terrible), "The Adjustment Bureau" (disappointing), "Gulliver's Travels (again awful and Jack Black's totally lost it). A decent actress just needs better roles and better movies and don't get me started on "Salmon Fishing" crap.

September 7, 201410 yr Author Total Points : 7 Courteney Cox http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2014/01/28/article-2547113-1B03AAE200000578-680_634x820.jpg Courteney Cox is a very attractive woman. She is an American actress. Her most well-know television role was as Monica Geller in "Friends". However, she was very popular with her role in the Scream film series as Gale Weathers. Tv viewers also loved her as as Jules Cobb in the Cougar Town (She is the definition of "Cougar"). Cox appeared in the music video for Bruce's Springsteen's "Dancing in the Dark" (1984). Apart from the "Scream series", I wouldn't say that her movies were very successful in cinema. She has a lot of movies which they failed to have a big impact at the Box Office. Her tv roles totally saved her career. Cox married actor David Arquette in 1999. Hovever, they broke up last year. They have a daughter and Jennifer Aniston is her godmother. Cox engaged to Johnny McDaid (Snow Patrol's member) over two months ago. Regina is her best fan here! I haven't watched many of her films because her movies don't look very promising : Ace Ventura : Pet Dedective (Hilarious), Scream (One of my favourite horror films), Scream 2 (Very decent for a sequel), Scream 3 (ridiculous and disappointing), 3000 Miles to Graceland (Forgettable) and Scream 4 (It was terrible in comparison with the first two films). I would suggest you to watch Ace Ventura : Pet detective because you will laugh a lot and it's very enjoyable film. I would also suggest you to watch Scream and Scream 2 are two of the best horror films and they defined the 90's. Edited September 7, 201410 yr by Insomnio
September 7, 201410 yr Author Total Points : 7 Dakota Fanning  http://www3.pictures.stylebistro.com/gi/Dakota%20Fanning%20Long%20Hairstyles%20Long%20Straight%20eNQi9L4pGdjl.jpg Dakota is the second youngest actress in this countdown (Only Saoirse is younger than her). Dakota Fanning is an American actress. She was very popular when she was kid. Her breakthrough performance was in the film "I Am Sam" and she was only 7 years old. Her exceptional performance earned her a nomination for a Screen Actors Guild Award at age eight in 2002, making her the youngest nominee in history. As a child, she appeared in many successful films and many critics praised her for her acting. However, it seems that she isn't so successful with her latest films because the majority of them are unknown. Only her participation in the "Twilight series" helped her to be relevant again. Many actors/actresses who were famous when they were kids, it seems that they struggle to have a decent career when they grow up..Dakota is one of them. I guess that she needs better roles because I found her incredibly talented as a kid!! Ru Pavel/Conderella had her name on his list. I have watched many of her films so far : I Am Sam (Very emotional movie, great performances), Trapped (It wasn't bad but the ending was so f*cking predictable), Uptown Girls (very entertaining movie), Man on Fire (One of my favourite action films that year), Hide and Seek (the plot/main story was very disappointing and offensive), War of the Wolrds (Great visual and sound effects, it had suspense and it was one of my favourite movies of 00's), Push (one of her worst films), The Twilight Saga : New Moon (One of my worst films that year), The Twilight Saga : Eclipse (I don't remember it) and The Twilight Saga : Breaking Down : Part 2 (It wasn't very bad as the previous films). I would suggest you to watch "I Am Sam" because it's one of the best social movies that I've ever watched, "Uptown Girls" because her chemistry with Britanny Murphy was so good, "Man on Fire" because it had suspense and interesting story and "War of the Worlds" because it was an impressive blockbuster!! I really liked "Twilight" because I found it funny in some parts and it was nice as teenage film. Nevertheless, the rest of the series were quite repetitive, full of cliches and Bella's indecision was very annoying. Edited January 6, 201510 yr by Insomnio
September 7, 201410 yr Author Courteney and David split nearly 4 years ago.... Also, The Shrink Is In >>>>>Â I meant that they broke up officially because their divorce became final in May 2013. Many couples broke up but there are a few of them who end up together again. However, they were not an exception..
September 7, 201410 yr Author Total Points : 7 Tricia Helfer http://images.askmen.com/photos/tricia-helfer/12730.jpg The truth is that I don't know anything about Tricia Helfer. However, she has many sexy photos and I'm sure that she is famous for her physical appearance. Her wikipedia page will be my saviour tonight..Tricia Helfer is a Canadian model and actress (it's so obvious). She is of German, English, Swedish and Norwegian descent. She is best known for her role on the television series "Battlestar Galactica". In 1992, she won Ford Models' Supermodel of the World Contest. She appeared in many ad campaigns (Versace, Giorgio Amrani, Chanel, Ralph Lauren). She hosted "Canada's Next Top Model". Her debut role was as Sarah on the television series "Jeremih". She has four artificial discs in her back and two in her neck because of an accident in which a piece of luggage was dropped on her head while sitting on a commercial airliner, and two in her lower back from mishaps while doing her own stunts. Tricia seems to be a very active personality. She co-founded the charity web site "Acting Outlaws" with her co-star Katee Sackhoff (Battlestar Galactica) which is open for donations for different causes and charity events. She is also involved in various causes, from animal rescue to the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. She appeared in a PETA video campaign this year because she wanted to encourage cat owners to keep their pets indoors. Two members voted for her. I haven't watched her movies yet but I really appreciate the fact that she involves in many social activities. It shows that this woman has a great character and I will start to watch her movies in the future. Edited September 7, 201410 yr by Insomnio
September 7, 201410 yr Author Total Points : 7 Anjelica Huston  http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_oDG-Ri2htKU/TBPir7XvGsI/AAAAAAAAB4E/LHZwbRx_Lz0/s1600/anjelica%20huston%202.jpg Angelica Huston is a great actress! Her physiognomy is very special and it's too difficult to forget this woman. Anjelica Huston is an American actress. Huston became the third generation of her family to win an Academy Award. She won the Academy Award for "Best Supporting Role" in Prizzi's Honor. Her father was a director and her grandfather was an actor (chip off the old block). She received Academy Award nominations for her roles in "Enemies a Love Story" and "The Grifters". She also received Bafta Nominations for her work in the Woody Allen films "Crimes and Misdemeanors" and "Manhattan Murder Mystery". Her most memorable role was as Morticia Addams in "The Addams Family". Wes Anderson admires this woman and he has collaborated with her many times since 2001. Anjelica is famous for her political activism too. She led a letter campaign organized by the U.S. Campaign for Burma and Human Rights Action Center seven years ago. Her biggest donation has been a yearly commitment to TLC (Transgender Law Center) for over a decade. Huston recorded a public service announcement for PETA two years ago. She wanted to urge her colleagues in Hollywood to refrain from using great apes in television, movies and advertisements. The animal rights organization named her their "Person of the Year 2012" a few weeks later. She had an on-and-off relationship with Jack Nicholson for 17 years..Two members are her best fans here. I have watched a few of her films but I really want to watch many of her movies such as "Prizzi's Honor" and " The Witches". I have watched so far : The Addams Family (the cast was very identical for this movie, it was very funny but creepy too), The Royal Tenenbaums (quite funny in some parts but it was quite boring overall), Blood Work (very interesting story, unpredictable ending), The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou (Very nice direction with many colours but the acting was so boring/I felt that the cast smoked weed before the movie), The Darjeeling Limited (bored to death) and When in Rome (Tragic!). I would suggest you to watch "The Addams Family" because it was a very good adaptation and "Blood Work" because it was one of the best mystery thriller that year (2002). I guess that she has a lot of good movies because of the positive reviews. Unfortunately, I watched some of her worst films..   Â
September 7, 201410 yr Courteney Cox Loved Loved Loved her in Friends, one of my all time favourite sitcoms. I remember first seeing her in Masters Of The Universe, (I just loved it, pure 80's cheese, so bad it's good, just love it), Cocoon - The Return (not a very good sequel), Ace Ventura (Great Jim Carrey comedy, still makes me laugh now), Scream (My all time fave slasher movie), Scream 2 (fantastic sequel, just brilliant), Scream 3 (not as strong as first 2, but still good but the kills were lame), Scream 4 (actually enjoyed, I loved the twist at the beginning and plus better than part 3), loved Gale Weathers in all 3 films, always on fine form as always. 3000 Miles To Graceland (agree boring), The Shrink Is In (I thought it was quite okay, just great, but passable), November (really dull, but Courteney was fantastic in it. Never seen Couger Town. Dakota Fanning She is a fantastic actress and hopefully will make it big again. "I Am Sam" (fantastic movie), "Uptown Girls" (An okay bit of fluff, Dakota saved ir though), "The Cat In The Har" (nothing could save this mess, just terrible and weird), "Man On Fire" (great action flick, Denzel and Dakota were great in it, and had great chemistry together), "Hide And Seek" (bored me to tears, and guessed the awful twist at the end at about 5 mins into the movie), "War Of The Worlds" (just didn't like), "Dreamer" (okay but Dakota was really strong in it), "The Secret Life Of Bees" (underrated and plus great performances in it), Coraline (brilliant voice work, and quite creepy), "Push" (awful), I actually do like the Twilight movies apart from the 2nd one which bored me to tears, the 3rd one though much much better and more enjoyable and plus loved the final one.
