Christine Baranski

http://www3.pictures.stylebistro.com/gi/Christine%20Baranski%20Dangle%20Earrings%20Dangling%20_7ivjL1tvwPl.jpg

Oh my gosh!! I just checked many of her photos and I realised that she looks exactly the same as my grandmother :o ..Christine Baranski is an American stage and screen actress. She is of Polish descent and her grandparents were actors in the Polish theater. Her debut film was in "The Outsiders" thirty-one years ago and her first notable role was in "9½ Weeks" as Thea (1986). Christine has received a total of eleven Emmy nominations (your faves could neva :kink: )!!! She won the Emmy Award for "Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series" as Maryanne Thorpe in "Cybill" (1995). I still remember that series and Christine was very funny. I would say that she was my best character there!! Unfortunately, Christine doesn't always choose the best roles for her and she took part in some terrible movies..However, her acting is always good and she has many core fans.. Johnkm is one of them! Christine married actor Matthew Cowles in October 1983. They were married until his death on May 22, 2014. They have two daughters.

I have watched some of her movies so far : 9½ Weeks (It's not bad but it's not good either, the soundtrack was very good though), Cruel Intentions (One of the most clever teenage movies), Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas (Very funny, Christmas stories are always good), The Guru (Quite funny but the characters were tragic..), Chicago (One of the best musicals that I've ever watched!), Marci X (Horrible), Welcome to Mooseport (Not funny and forgettable too) and Mamma Mia! (One of my favourite musicals, Abba has great discography!).

I would suggest you to watch "9½ Weeks" for the memorable striptease of Kim Basinger, "Cruel Intentions" because it has an intriguing script and subversive end, "Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas" for the upcoming Christmas, "Chicago" because the performances are great and it has nice soundtrack and "Mamma Mia" because it's very enjoyable, the performances are amazing and Christine shines there..

Pleased to see Vera and Jen Garner here. Love them both. Jen deserves it purely for Alias, which is my favourite show ever. I've seen it from start to finish more than 5 times. It's amazing.

I don't think Vera gets enough credit actually. She's a wonderful actress. So natural that you forget she's acting. It's just an inherent ability for her to completely embody a role. She's fantastic.

I'm enjoying the results so thanks for doing them but it would be nice if we could get them a little quicker though! This thread's been going for months and there wasn't even that many voters was there?

Oh just seen that Christine has been added. I like her a lot, mainly because I love The Good Wife, which she is great in. Can't say I'm a big fan of her movie career though.

Drew Barrymore

http://cdn01.dailycaller.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/115250320-e1310589824337.jpg

Drew Barrymore is one of the most sweet American actresses! How could someone hate this woman..? Hell No! Drew Barrymore was famous as a kid and she is very successful as an adult (One of the notable exceptions). She is very talented and she is very active personality. She is not only an actress but also screenwriter, film director, producer, model and author!!! She is a granddaughter of film legend John Barrymore although she has many relatives who they were actors/actresses. She is also the god-daughter of director Steven Spielberg and Sophia Loren. Her debut film was in "Altered States" but her first notable role was in "E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial". I'm sure that everyone remembers her there. She received a Golden Globe nomination as "Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture" in 1984 for her role in "Irreconcilable Differences". However, her popularity had a bad effect on her..She was in rehab at the age of fourteen because she had many bad habits as a teenager. She described this period of her life in her autobiography, Little Girl Lost (intriguing.. B-)). Her life continued to be controversial during the 90's. Steven Spielberg gave her a quilt for her twentieth birthday with a note that read, "Cover yourself up." Nevertheless, Drew focused on her career and she took part in many movies! In 2010, she was awarded the Screen Actors Guild Award and the Golden Globe Award for "Best Actress in a Miniseries or Television Film" for her portrayal of Little Edie in "Grey Gardens". AlexRange loves this woman and he had her name on his list.

I have watched many of her movies : E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial (Great Movie, It defines the 80's!), Cat's Eye (Interesting script with suspense), Poison Ivy (failure), Batman Forever (I enjoyed it but I don't remember Drew's role..), Scream (One of my favourite horror movies, it defines the 90's), Best Men (Fortgettable), Titan A.E. (Decent animation but it failed to be successful at the Box Office), Charlie's Angels (I didin't like it, very silly movie), Freddy Got Fingered (Dreadful, Tom Green was the troll of his generation), Riding in Cars with Boys (Average movie), Confessions of a Dangerous Mind (Good performances/ interesting script/It's based on a true story), Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle (I wanted to self-harm watching this..), Duplex (very funny movie, I want it to watch again), 50 First Dates (nice scirpt, funny and enjoyable movie), Fever Pitch (funny in some parts but it wasn't great overall), Music and Lyrics (Very nice movie), He's Just Not That Into You (Enlightning movie), Everybody's Fine (A nice family movie) and Blended (relaxing movie).

I would suggest you to watch "E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial" because everyone has to watch this movie, "Cat's Eye" because it contains three amazing stories, "Scream" because it's very scary movie and horror fans totally loved it, "Confessions of a Dangerous Mind" because it has a gripping story, "Duplex" because it has a lot of hilarious scenes, "50 First Dates" because it's funny story and it's suitable for the first date, "Music and Lyrics" because Drew and Hugh Grand had great chemistry and "He's Just Not That Into You" because you will learn a lot of things about relationships. Our friends usually try to be good with us when we have problems with our relationships. A raw and real film.. :P

Thanks for this!!! It's not about the voters because I prepared the total results a long time ago. The whole concept (nice photo, biography, suggestions) takes me a lot of time to prepare this. Plus, my native language doesn't help for this..

Understood :) Appreciate that you're putting an awful lot of effort into it.

Whoopi Goldberg

http://www.thisissierraleone.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/Whoopi-Goldbery-oscar-win-natural-hair-locs-alice-in-nappyland.jpg

Whoopi is one of my favourite comedians ever!!! I was a big fan of hers when I was kid. I still laugh with her comedies and I think that she is very likeable personality. She is incredibly talented!! She is an American actress, singer-songwriter, political activist, author and talk show host. She was born in Manhattan. Goldberg was a very anxious personality when she was teenager. She dropped out of high school. She worked as a phone sex operator, working from home at nigh (Could you imagine this..? LMAO!). Her debut film was in "Citizen : I'm Not Losing My Mind, I'm Giving It Away" (1982) and her first successful role was in " The Color Purple" three years later. It was a critically acclaimed movie that year (1985)!!! It was nominated for 11 Academy Awards and Whoopi was nominated for "Best Actress". However, the movie was totally robbed by other films that year (Shame!)..Nevertheless, Whoopi won the Academy Award for "Best Supporting Role" as Oda Mae Brown in "Ghost" five years later (Justice!)! She was the second black woman in the history of the Academy Awards to win an acting Oscar. Goldberg has also been nominated for 13 Emmy Awards for her work in television!! She is one of the few entertainers who have won an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony Award!!! Her latest role was in "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles"!!! PaulM1983 loves this woman and he is her best fan here!!!

I have watched some of her movies : The Color Purple (Great movie!!! Whoopi was great there), Ghost (One of the best romantic movies ever!! Great performances), Sister Act (Very funny movie, crazy concept, totally love it!), Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit (It wasn't so great as the first film but I laughed a lot), The Lion King (Great animation, Great soundtrack), Ghosts of Mississippi (Very good movie about racism), How Stella Got Her Groove Back (Forgettable story about a milf..), Girl, Interrupted (Very good script and nice perfromances) and Rat Race (Quite funny but a little bit forgettable). I'm sure that I watched more movies than I referred above but i don't remember the titles and the plot.. :P

I would suggest you to watch "The Color Purple" because it's a great story and Whoopi totally deserved her nomination there, "Ghost" because it's one of the most emotional movies of 90's, "Sister Act" because it's funny as hell, "The Lion King" because it's "The Lion King", "Ghosts of Mississippi" because it has an intriguing script with great performances and "Girl, Interrupted" because the cast did an amazing work.

Rachel Griffiths

http://wsfm.com.au/assets/473159/rachel-griffiths.jpg

I didin't expect Rachel Griffiths to be in this rate but I was so glad when I saw her name here! I haven't watched many of her movies but I liked her in "Six Feet Under"! Rachel is an Australian film and television actress. Her debut film was in "Muriel's Wedding" twenty years ago. Her performance was so great and she won both the Australian Film Critics Award and the Australian Film Institute Awards for "Best Supporting Actress". "My Best Friend's Wedding" was her American film debut in 1997. She received an Academy Award nomination for "Best Supporting Actress" in "Hilary and Jackie" one year later! However, her participation in "Six Feet Under" was one the best choises of her career (2001-2005)! She earned her Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild Awards, as well as two Emmy Award nominations! Her participation in the dramatic series "Brothers & Sisters" was very successful too (2006-2011)! She received a 2007 Emmy nomination and a 2008 Emmy nomination for her work on the series. She also received 2008 and 2009 Golden Globe nominations for her work on "Brothers & Sisters". Rachel has three children. Heezus loves this actress!!

I have watched a few of her movies so far : My Best Friend's Wedding (Pleasant movie, very funny in some parts), Blow (The direction was good but I found it a little bit boring), Ned Kelly (Decent movie), Step Up (Entertaining movie) and Saving Mr. Banks (She has a small role / The movie was very good though).

Plus, "Six Feet Under" : The stories were morbit but it had intriguing characters.

I would suggest you to watch "My Best Friend's Wedding" because I'm sure that many of you have loved one of your best friends (Not me though), "Ned Kelly" because he was an interesting personality and "Saving Mr. Banks" because it was very good overall.

Christine Baranski A very funny actress and I do remember her from Cybil where she was excellent and stole the show, and also like her guest stints on Big Band Theory where she is also very funny. I have seen a couple of her movies Addams Family Values (a very funny sequel, quite good but not as strong as the 1st one), "The Birdcage" (A great classic comedy with Robin Williams and Nathan Lane, and plus Christine was quite good), Cruel Intentions (quite fun, but rather dated now, but Christine was very funny in her role), Bowfinger (A great comedy, Christine was again hiliarious), Mamma Mia (she shined)

Drew Barrymore A very talented actress who I have enjoyed for many years E.T. (classic great 80's movie and plus Drew was great in it), Firestarter (underrated, great story and good watch), Poison Ivy (pure trash, but don't often do we see this side of Drew), Doppleganger (decent thriller, with some great twists and turns), Waynes World 2 (okay sequel), Bad Girls (quite good cowgirls movie), Mad Love (quite tame, but Drew gave a great performance), Batman Forever (fun and enjoyable and Drew plays Sugar one of twofaces assistants), Scream (great 90's slasher, probably the best slasher of all time and the beginning with Drew was spectacular and plus it jump started her career), The Wedding Singer (just loved this, but kinda bored of it now), Ever After (quite good), Never Been Kissed (classic 90's rom-com), Charlie's Angels (terrible remake of a classic iconic 70's show), Donnie Darko (weird but wonderful), Duplex (just okay), 50 First Dates (this is when Adam Sandler started to lose it),

Whoopi Goldberg = Another fantastic actress I have enjoyed many of her performances over the years and have seen many of her films and has a fantastic body of work. "The Colour Purple" (only recently got round to seeing this and what a fantastic heartbreaking film, Whoopi was just amazing in it, a character to really root for and hope for a happy ending, truly excellent.) "Jumpin' Jack Flash" (quite enjoyable 80's romp, but rather dated now, but still an okay waste of time), "Fatal Beauty" (I can see what they tried here, it's kinda like a female Beverly Hills Cop, but not that great, Whoopi saves this from becoming just another generic 80's action/comedy, but still an ok movie though), "The Telephone" (I remember watching this late one night on Channel 4 many many years ago, just awful, even Whoppi tried to get out of doing this, and can see why, it's just terrible, but the twist at the end was quite interesting though), "Ghost" (Well deserved oscar, and she was on top form here), "Sister Act" (one of my fave comedies ever, Whoopi is fantastic, just brilliant), Sister Act 2 (not as strong but still fun), "Loaded Weapon" (quite funny movie, and Whoppi only had a cameo, but she made the best of it), "Made In America" (an okay movie, quite heartwarming and sentimental), "The Lion King" (fantastic disney at it's best), "Corrina, Corrina" (another nice movie), "Eddie" (an awful mess, Whoopi deserved better than this), "Ghosts Of Mississpi" (decent drama, really good), "The Associate" (very underrated, a good movie), "How Stella Got Her Groove Back" (not enough Whoopi), "Girl Interrupted" (good drama, with a great cast), "Rat Race" (just okay),
Rachel Griffiths is one of my favourite TV actresses, she's TOTALLY underrated and needs to come back in a smash TV show.

Ah, Whoopi, how I love that woman.

I will never be ashamed to say that Jumpin' Jack Flash is one of my favourite movies of all time. She is absolutely fantastic in it, and delivers some of the best one liners of her career. Also, Sister Act never gets old. Whoopi and Maggie Smith together? As nuns? I'm sold.

omg I haven't seen Sister Act since last century~~

putting this on my list for the weekend~

Laura Linney

http://cdn2.crushable.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/iphotos180555-Laura-Linney-newscom-404x590.jpg

I think that this woman was incredible that era (2003-2005). Laura Linney is an American actress (film, television, and theatre). She was born in Manhattan. Her debut film was "Dave". She had a small role. However, her first successful role was in "Kongo" (1995). She also played in "Primal Fear" and "The Truman Show" which they were critically acclaimed movies. In 2000, Linney was nominated for an Academy Award for "Best Actress" for her role in the film "You Can Count on Me". In 2003, Linney appeared in several notable films, including "Mystic River", "Love Actually", and "The Life of David Gale". She was nominated for the Academy Award for "Best Supporting Actress" for her role in the film "Kinsey" the following year. In 2005, she starred in the horror film "The Exorcism of Emily Rose". In 2007, Linney received a third Academy Award nomination for "The Savages", this time for Best Actress! During her career, she has received four Emmy Awards, two Golden Globe Awards, and a Screen Actors Guild Award. Linney doesn't care about popularity and publicity that's why her personal life is not on the front page of tabloids..Randomfurlong is her best fan here!

I have watched some of her movies so far : "Congo (I don't remember every detail of it because I watched it 15 years ago, it wan't bad though), The Truman Show (Very good movie, nice direction, clever script, emotional performances), The Life of David Gale (One of my favourite movies that year, interesting script), Mystic River (Nice movie but I didn't like the ending), Love Actually (This movie is one of the best for the first date), Kinsey (intriguing main character but it was a little bit boring), The Exorcism of Emily Rose (Very scary movie but a little bit slow) and The Other Man (oh my gosh, that was very bad..we laughed so much in the cinema although it was a drama).

I would suggest you to watch "The Truman Show" because Jim Carrey shines there and Laura was also very good, "The Life of David Gale" because it's one of the best movies about death penalty and the performances were great (Kevin Spacey, Kate Winslet and Laura Linney), "Mystic River" because it was one of the most critically acclaimed movies that year (2003), "Kinsey" because it's based on sex and realtionships and I'm sure that everyone cares for them and "The Exorcism of Emily Rose" because it was too scary in some parts..

Jennifer Aniston

http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-94hhhewosQE/ToamSGEe0kI/AAAAAAAALLA/fWEtJkVVOwU/s1600/Jennifer_Aniston_Lifestyle_19.jpg

Jennifer Aniston is one of the most likeable actresses. She is always sweet and I noticed that checking her photos. ^_^ Jennifer was born in Los Angeles. Her father is Greek (Ela re patrida!) and a native of Crete, while her mother was born in New York City. Aniston lived in Greece for a year with her family when she was chid. They moved to Pennsylvania, then to New York City. Her debut film was in "Leprechaun" (1993). However, her first successful role was on the television sitcom Friends (1994–2004) as Rachel Green. She earned an Emmy Award, a Golden Globe Award, and a Screen Actors Guild Award!!! Aniston received a salary of $1 million per episode for the last two seasons of Friends!! In 1996, she was in Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers music video for "Walls". In 2001, Aniston was in Melissa Etheridge's music video for "I Want To Be In Love". In 2007, Forbes rated Aniston as one of the top 10 richest women in entertainment and estimated her net worth to be about $110 million. By June 20, 2010, Aniston's movies had grossed more than $1 billion in the United States and over $1.7 billion worldwide!

She is known for her philanthropic works. She donated $500,000 to Doctors Without Borders, Haitian health care provider Partners in Health and AmeriCares and also participated in the megastar-studded Hope for Haiti Now telethon. Media and tabloids totally love this woman! Her marriage with Brad Pitt was was considered the rare Hollywood success. She married Pitt on July 29, 2000. However, they announced their separation five years later. On August 12, 2012, Aniston and Theroux announced their engagement. I like her acting but I think that she plays the same character every time (apart from a few exceptions). She is not a versatile actress. Two members had her name on their lists.

I have watched many of her movies so far : Rock Star (entertaining film but forgettable too), Bruce Almighty (very funny movie, clever script), Along Came Polly (very funny, I enjoyed it a lot), Derailed (intriguing script, one of my favourite movies of hers), Rumor Has It...(I thought that it would be interesting but it was boring and not funny), The Break-Up (Nice movie about relationships), Marley & Me (decent movie about love for animals, emotional ending), He's Just Not That into You (nice movie about relationships), Love Happens (Tragic script, the main character was obssessed with his bird..), The Bounty Hunter (Dreadful, one the worst movies that I've ever watched at the cinema), Just Go with It (very funny and pleasant), Horrible Bosses (Hilarious) and We're the Millers (Hilarious).

I would suggest you to watch "Bruce Almighty" because Jennifer had great chemistry with Jim Carrey and it has many funny scenes, "Along Came Polly" because you will enjoy it a lot, "Derailed" because it's unpredictable, "The Break-Up" because it's very meaningful movie, "Marley & Me" because you will adore it if you have a doggie, "He's Just Not That into You" because it tells the truth about relationships, "Just Go With It" because it has a funny script, "Horrible Bosses" because I guess that everyone would have had a horrible boss in the past and "We're the Millers" because it's crazy as hell!

Judi Dench

http://www.davidmorris.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/Dame-Judi-Dench-Bond-Skyfall-Premiere-London-23.10.12-480x714.jpg

What a great actress!!! I'm sure that everyone appreciates this woman because of her acting. Her total points doesn't represent her value (It happened many times in this rate). Judi Dench is an English actress. Her debut film was in ""The Third Secret" (1964). The 1966 BAFTA Award for "Most Promising Newcomer to Leading Film Roles" was made to Dench for her performance in "Four in the Morning" and this was followed in 1968 by a BAFTA Television "Best Actress Award" for her role in John Hopkins' 1966 BBC drama "Talking to a Stranger". She played in several of Shakespeare's plays in such roles as Ophelia in "Hamlet", Juliet in "Romeo and Juliet" and Lady Macbeth in "Macbeth". However, her most notable role was in James Bond films as "M". Dench became the first woman to portray the character, succeeding Robert Brown. In 1998, she won the Academy Award for "Best Supporting Actress" and the BAFTA Award for "Best Actress in a Supporting Role" as Queen Elizabeth I in "Shakespeare in Love". Among her Major awards, Dench has won an Oscar, a Tony, 6 Olivier's, 6 film BAFTA's, and 4 TV BAFTA's. She holds the record for most acting majors across all six American and British event's winning 18 and receiving 52 nominations!!! Overall in her career to date she has won 65 awards from 213 nominations!!! In Britain, Dench has developed a reputation as one of the greatest actors of the post-war period, mainly through her work in theatre, which has been her forte throughout her career. She has more than once been named number one in polls for Britain's best actor!!! Two members voted for this amazing woman!

I have watched many of her films so far : GoldenEye (Great soundtrack, nice Bond film, very entertaining), Tomorrow Never Dies (It's not the best Bond film, the scipt was a bit silly), Shakespeare in Love (I know that many critics hate it because of the Academy Awards but it was a pleasant movie), The World Is Not Enough (Just entertaining), Chocolat (Nice story for the lovers of chocolate), Iris (very good performances, emotional story), The Shipping News (One of my favourite films that year, I didn't expect it so good), Die Another Day (fake visual effects, it had some tragic scenes), The Chronicles of Riddick (Vin Diesel with Judi Dench..? What happened there..?), Pride & Prejudice (Very nice story with great performances), Casino Royale (The Best Bond Film ever!), Notes on a Scandal (controversial story with nice performances), Quantum of Solace (Average Bond Film), Nine (It's not one of my favourite musicals but it was great in some parts), Jane Eyre (nice story with great performances), Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides (Nice adventure), My Week with Marilyn (I really like this film because the performances were charismatic), Skyfall (One of the best James Bond Film, Great soundtrack) and Philomena (It's based on a true story and the performance of Dench totally deserved a nomination).

I would suggest you to watch "GoldenEye" because it's a nice action film and Pierce Brosnan was good as James Bond, "Chocolat" because the story is quite funny, "Iris" because Iris Murdoch was a prominent author, "The Shipping News" because it's a decent social movie, "Pride & Prejudice" because it has very good direction and the performances were great, 'Casino Royale" because it's the most exciting Bond Film, "Notes on a Scandal" because it has an intriguing story (a sexual relationship between a teacher with her student), "Jane Eyre" because it's a nice romantic drama film, "My Week with Marilyn" because Marilyn deserved the attention as personality, "Skyfall" because it's one of the best James Bond Film and it's the most commercial of the series and "Philomena" because it's an intriguing story about Catholicism in Ireland sixty years ago!
