This week:

Gains

(38) 41 Professor Green feat. Tori Kelly - Lullaby

(29) 42 Nico & Vinz - Am I Wrong

(33) 43 Hozier - Take Me To Church

(34) 47 Sia - Chandelier

(36) 51 Maroon 5 - Maps

(40) 52 Clean Bandit feat. Jess Glynne - Rather Be

(37) 53 Mr Probz - Waves

Losses

(41) 28 Wilkinson feat. Talay Riley - Dirty Love

(44) 29 The Independents - UKIP Calypso

(42) 31 The Magician feat. Years & Years - Sunlight

(51) 33 Hudson Taylor - Chasing Rubies

(48) 36 Tracy Chapman - Fast Car

(53) 39 Alex Clare - War Rages On

(43) 40 Labrinth - Let It Be

The first week with 7 changes in the top 40, and 'Am I Wrong' becomes the highest charting song to not be top 40 on sales (the second incidence of such a song being top 30 after 'Rather Be' a few weeks back). Not necessarily indicative of streaming rapidly becoming more prominent as this comes just a week after there was barely any change, the effect from week to week seems to be quite volatile.

Also, 'Take Me To Church' has become the first song to both gain a week and lose a week!

This week

Gains

(31) 41 Iggy Azalea feat Rita Ora - Black Widow

(32) 47 Nico and Vinz - Am I Wrong

(34) 45 Hozier - Take Me To Church

(35) 51 Clean Bandit feat Jess Glynne - Rather Be

(37) 54 Mr Probz - Waves

(40) 62 Maroon 5 - Maps

Losses

(41) 39 Charli XCX - Boom Clap

(42) 31 Krishane feat Melissa Steel - Drunk and Incapable

(43) 40 Eminem feat Sia - Guts Over Fear

(44) 38 Watermät - Bullit

(49) 36 Sander Van Doorn/Martin Garrix/DVBBS - Gold Skies

(53) 37 The 1975 - Medicine

Milestones a plenty this week, Maroon 5 gain two new records with the biggest difference yet of 22 higher places than sales to earn an extra top 40 week and the lowest charting position in sales to be still top 40 officially. Boom Clap becomes the first ever song to lose a week after previously gaining any weeks. Change is also becoming more apparant with four out of the six gains at least 15 places higher than they are in sales.

Do you know also the biggest difference that charted the lowest on the official chart but lot higher on the sales chart?

Was it this one?

(53) 37 The 1975 - Medicine

Redlight only reached 59 officially with 9TS (90s Baby) despite being 39 in sales.

Dan's thread is what you're looking for! :magic:

Hozier now having a net gain from streaming despite losing his first week, as I expected.

Melissa Steel also becomes the first female artist to have two songs lose weeks.

As was to be expected (being the first song to debut at #41 since streaming was included in the chart) Henry Krinkle's 'Stay' is now the highest peaking song on the sales chart to not make the top 40 overall, dropping from #23 to #41 :( So incredibly frustrating, most of the 'lost' top 40 hits so far haven't bothered me too much ('Iron Sky' aside) but 'Stay' would have been one of the best top 40 hits of the entire year. At least it got that chart show play kinda though.

Alas. This week's changes in full:

Gains

(34) 42 Hozier - Take Me To Church

(36) 41 Iggy Azalea feat. Rita Ora - Black Widow

(37) 47 Mr Probz - Waves

(39) 50 Nico & Vinz - Am I Wrong

Losses

(41) 23 Henry Krinkle - Stay

(42) 34 Idina Menzel - Let It Go

(44) 29 One Direction - Ready To Run

(49) 34 Joss Stone feat. Jeff Beck - No Man's Land (Green Fields Of France)

I'm quite okay with Idina being denied an extra week. Quite surprised that streaming seems to be hitting her so hard!

Pharrell is #40 in both charts this week. Also looks like Iggy Azalea is the first act to have two songs gain at least 2 weeks from streaming (in fact she has 3 so she had that first already).

This also marks the first occasion in which two songs in the one sales top 30 failed to make top 40 officially.

Cher Lloyd's Sirens was actually the first #41 peak in the streaming era. You might be thinking of Stay being the first #41 peak to get a 3.55pm play on Radio 1.

Ah, you're right :P I forgot that the #41 play started a few weeks later.

This week

Gains

(34) 51 Ed Sheeran - Sing

(35) 46 Maroon 5 - Animals

(36) 48 Magic! - Rude

(37) 41 Ella Henderson - Ghost

(38) 52 G.R.L. - Ugly Heart

(40) 59 Mr Probz - Waves

Losses

(44) 32 The Script - No Good In Goodbye

(45) 28 One Direction - 18

(46) 30 Ella Henderson - Yours

(47) 29 One Direction - Where Do Broken Hearts Go

(49) 39 The Vamps feat Shawn Mendes - Oh Cecilia (Breaking My Heart)

(54) 37 One Direction - Night Changes

Mr Probz equals Kiesza's record of most extra weeks with six, One Direction as well as being the first act to have multiple singles miss out in the same week also have the most records to lose top 40 weeks with four. A record three entries in the sales top 30 miss out top 40 officially.

(37) 47 Sia - Chandelier

Losses

(46) 27 Nicole Scherzinger - Run

(49) 31 Pitbull feat. John Ryan - Fireball

(50) 34 Andy C and Fiora - Heartbeat Loud

(51) 36 The Script - No Good In Goodbye

'Waves' has now gained the most weeks from streaming with 7 extra weeks.

Incidentally Lilly Wood's drop this week definitely seems to be down to the Spotify error, it is actually HIGHER on sales than overall this week (by one place). The streams (and presumably sales) of the original and remix are not being combined, the remix dropping 12-36 on the streaming chart this week with the original debuting at #58. I'd complain if I wasn't totally bored of the song.
