i thought it'd be cool to have a thread that's sorta like the lounge, where all fellow 1D fanatics can gather and share stories, queries or concerns about their lives, related to one direction or not. this is a thread that can lend a shoulder to cry on when you're trying to fight off worries that hazza may be leaving the band, it can lend an ear when you're practically giddy about a new tattoo zayn has inked himself up with (calum) and it can lend a hand whenever you are pondering something you may need an answer or advice for. by all means close this thread if you think it's pointless or is already catered for, i just thought it may be nice and may encourage more activity in the forum. have fun guys! :cheer:

i'll start: i have never see one direction nor have I ever met one direction. i have a best friend who basically loves the a$$ off of harry. louis is my fave cus' of his face, his body, his tattoos, his smile, his hair, his sense of humour, his personality, his voice etc.

 

i'm curious to know, what first attracted you all to one direction? was it the x factor? was it their looks? was it their songs? what was it that made you think "yep, I like these guys"?

Great idea for a thread, Callum :D I guess this could be done in One ThInc. but that's typically used for off-topic 1D stuff these days, so this can be just a general chat topic ^_^

 

I think I can partly put my love for 1D down to the looks - I found Harry attractive from the moment I saw his audition :kink: He had a great voice though, and it stayed in my mind, same for Liam and Niall's actually.

This is a very interesting thread, and I have to say that Niall is my fave out of the group, he is definately the most improved in everything and seems to be the only one that still cares about the music.

 

But in general though, I first did get into them when I saw them on X-Factor on week 1 when they sung Coldplay's - Viva La Vida and they sounded great and actually backed them to win, but in my eyes despite finishing 3rd on the show, well look at them now and look how far they have come so they are the real true winners. When "WMYB" came out I was hooked and loved everything that came out since then.

WMYB was such a SUPERB debut single, and it's one of my favourite tracks of all time. So so good, was addicted for weeks and would no doubt have spent MANY weeks at #1 had I done a chart then.

I wasn't OVERLY fussed on them on X Factor, was actually so relieved that Rebecca made the top 2! But 'What Makes You Beautiful' was and still is just such a catchy classic pop song, so that got me interested in their music. And of course their looks are an added bonus. *.*

How I wish I could see them in person :(
