August 6, 201410 yr Author Bumping this as Sean suggested. I originally predicted top 3 and just over 20k, but back then I expected them to do more of a solid promotional tour for it, and while it's okay, it's not good enough when they've got no airplay whatsoever. I still think they'll manage around 14 - 18k. They might make 20k, if they've had a TV advert paid out for them, but that's unlikely. They've also got LOTS of competition, while it's still close, they have FKA Twigs, OneRepublic, Gaslight Anthem all as major contenders as well as Ed who will be up there too. If they were releasing this week they would have had #2 with Living For The Weekend sales, probably - HA I also think Tour Edition might end up being a bit of a secret weapon for them. August 6, 201410 yr Is everyone more bothered about it sticking around for a while or where it charts? Even better, what do you think management would rather?
August 6, 201410 yr Author Is everyone more bothered about it sticking around for a while or where it charts? Even better, what do you think management would rather? I don't think it'll stick around unless it goes to number 1 in the first week and generates some buzz from that. There's no airplay to keep it afloat.
August 6, 201410 yr Is everyone more bothered about it sticking around for a while or where it charts? Even better, what do you think management would rather? The management would prefer a number 1 album that spends 2 weeks in the top 100. Ok maybe not that dramatic, but they would prefer to have it say have a 1-27-39-71-OUT chart run than say 7-9-10-8-11-12-15-22-29-32-32-29-50-40-75-OUT

August 6, 201410 yr i still think it will be top 3 and will sell 20k in first week. there are so many editions available - those other acts will have iTunes pre-orders and then maybe one physical in supermarkets and hmv... the Sats have Tour Edition, Deluxe collectors, CD pre-order (must be around 10k!) plus the iTunes pre-orders, up until two weeks ago it was doing really well, plus the same supermarkets etc as the rest. Plus they have some TV promo, the other acts will have radio, but I doubt much TV promo outside of music channels.
August 12, 201410 yr Can I change my vote to flop? My new prediction is Top 10(just about) with 10k so basically the same as Living For The Weekend lol
