Glad 'Hotline Bling' has been added after it was looking very doubtful, but wtf at 'Summer Sixteen' getting snubbed? I don't understand what the current fad of leaving off successful singles from albums is all about - Ariana has done it with 'Focus', Rihanna with her three songs before 'Work' and Kygo with 'Here for You' etc.

Surely (at least in those cases) it was apparent that they didn't manage quite the success that was hoped/expected? "Hotline Bling" is probably only being tacked on because it was huge, considering that if you ignore the eventual success, it was just one of 4 singles Drake released at the same time last year.

They still managed Top 10/20 peaks with an OA/OS release which I'd consider a success and would indicate they held certain popularity. Plus the intention was clearly that they'd be included on the album so to snub them over chart performance suggests they're more concerned in creating a greatest hits rather than a credible album worth investing in.

I think though chart runs like those are very much in line with immediate fanbase hype and quickly dying down because they just weren't received well in general. I do agree I'm not fond of the practice. It even seems oh so convenient that the release date for "Views" was announced not long after it became apparent that "One Dance" was the hit needed to coincide with it. Also a bit disappointed myself as I do like "Summer Sixteen" more than the two recent singles.

It's the fanbase that are particularly going to support the album though. I find it particularly surprising that Drake, who I always considered as someone who had a clear vision of what they wanted their albums and music to be like and weren't just here to ride on the tide of commercial success, would suddenly scrap songs that were surely intended to be part of said album. It just doesn't sit right with me. If the singles that didn't make the album were confirmed as standalone releases before, it wouldn't have been so bad.

This album is legendary, fresh, unique and extraordinary. Pure masterpiece!

Loving this!

Favourites so far are Views, With You and Too Good alongside One Dance and Hotline Bling of course. Strong album again.

omg 'Too Good' is the best Drake & Rihanna collab so far? (don't reply to this message with '''What's My Name' says hi'' I will cut some bitches it's overrated af). Also it's quite clear to me when it comes to Drake I'm only here for his up-tempo tracks. He's SO hit & miss for me but when he delivers I'm so addicted to the songs.

I'm not sure 'Too Good' is quite up there with 'Take Care' for me yet but possibly will be soon enough. The production is to die for!

'Hype' and 'Feel No Ways' are the other immediate standouts for me at the moment. New Popcaan-less 'Controlla' will take some getting used to :(

Half-way through this.. Drake and PARTYNEXTDOOR are always SO GOOD together. 'Preach' is one of my favourite Drake songs, and now we have 'With You' which is sounding incredible again. Really liking the album so far!

This album !!

Very early days I know and barely finished my first run through but could be his best project since 'Take Care' Definitely better than 'If You're Reading This It's Too Late' and 'What A Time To Be Alive' at least and could maybe overtake 'Nothing Was The Same' with a few more listens but not sure yet. Either way, very, very impressed.

Can't understand why Joe Budden says Drake does not improve. I don't know where improve to. He's on top making quality and awesome music.
Drake's "One Dance" is on top in Billboard Top 200. Like other 19 songs of him. Amazing!
I can't unsee huge drake on the cover now 😩

?? I don't get the cover... Am I missing something?

This absolutely SMASHED the US charts and so well deserved. Such a triumphant album *.*
