July 20, 201411 yr Author 'Weird Al' Yankovic Aiming for First No. 1 Album on Billboard 200 Chart Billboard (July 18th, 2014): Comedian and singer "Weird Al" Yankovic is on course for his first No. 1 album, as "Mandatory Fun" could debut atop the Billboard 200 chart next week. Industry forecasters suggest the album, which was released on July 15, might sell over 80,000 copies by the end of the tracking week on Sunday, July 20. As of Friday, the sales projection for "Mandatory Fun" was just ahead of another new album in the race for No. 1: Jason Mraz's "Yes!" The latter set might sell around 75,000 to 80,000. Also set for sizable debuts on next week's Billboard 200: Rise Against's "The Black Market" (around 60,000), the new "Kidz Bop 26" album (50,000), Bleachers' "Strange Desire" (18,000) and Marsha Ambrosius' "Friends & Lovers" (15,000). http://www.billboard.com/articles/news/616...n-billboard-200

July 20, 201411 yr It's going to be close between Mraz and Weird Al is Mraz is #1 on the Building Chart and has taken over on iTunes. I really do hope that those 80-85k predictions turn out true and there is some missing sales data in the building chart that will get Al to number one.
July 20, 201411 yr Best #1 album ever (as long as evil Mraz doesn't prevent it). At least Al is respected by his own country :(
July 20, 201411 yr Oh dear. 1-16 for Sia?! Not really surprised at that, didn't she get to #1 on pretty low sales?
July 20, 201411 yr She did, one of the lowest #1 sales ever I believe, but I'm still not sure I've ever seen such a harsh drop from #1 in the US.
July 20, 201411 yr She did, one of the lowest #1 sales ever I believe, but I'm still not sure I've ever seen such a harsh drop from #1 in the US.It's happened a few times this decade but thankfully not in over a year: Biggest drops from number-one (1-37) Light Grenades – Incubus (December 23, 2006) (1-26) Mission Bell – Amos Lee (February 19, 2011) (1-25) Showroom of Compassion – Cake (February 5, 2011) (1-24) Christmas – Michael Bublé (January 14, 2012) (1-24) Blue Slide Park – Mac Miller (December 3, 2011) (1-22) Burning Lights – Chris Tomlin (February 2, 2013) (1-21) The Golden Age of Grotesque – Marilyn Manson (June 7, 2003) (1-19) The Circle – Bon Jovi (December 5, 2009) (1-18) The Inspiration – Young Jeezy (January 6, 2007) (1-16) The Fragile – Nine Inch Nails (October 16, 1999)
