Poor Will Arnett and Sean Hayes, they just can't catch a break.

Although, Sean still produces two shows still on TV.

Hahaha, Tvbythenumbers had that down as certain renewal saying it would be dragged to syndication. Kinda surprised it's been shown the door before The McCarthys, but it's probably not helping Scorpion.

Hopefully Mom is getting the post-TBBT slot all season now.

So what is everyone's favourite mainstream comedy? I need a new one now that P&R is ending and I've dropped Selfie. I watch The Big Bang Theory and Mike & Molly and that's pretty much it.

I've just watched the first two episodes of The McCarthys and I quite liked it actually.

It's probably not long for this world though.

Peoples views on 'Mom''? It's on my list to watch. I've got 3 weeks off work next month so I'll be having a couple of days just binge watching programmes.

The Goldbergs, easily. Very few networks comedies are anything other than abysmal in my opinion, The Big Bang Theory is the only CBS comedy able to raise its head above offensive/offensively stupid humour. Fox have Brookyln Nine-Nine which is solid, but only fitfully great and that's largely down to the incredible acting from Andre Braugher. NBC obv have Parks & Rec, but that's not on right now and is also sadly ending this season. The CW don't do comedy obv, at least not intentional comedy anyway.

The funniest show on TV is The Good Wife though.

Technically Jane the Virgin is a dramedy. I really don't watch many comedies anymore. The Millers is a shock to me, I would have expected it to last the season, it must be something with the cast and crew that caused its cancellation.

I think 'Mom' is hilarious. Allison Janney 100% carries the show but the way she & Anna Faris bounce off each other is funny.

I'd definitely recommend it. I don't know whether it just fits my sense of humour but I laugh throughout every episode.

It's very sarcastic and sometimes goes OTT and a little slapstick but it pulls it back. Give it a go!

If you're looking for one with some length, give Rules of Engagement a shot.

It ended last year, but they kept it around for 7 seasons (100 Episodes).

It's not the best sitcom, but I did get a few laughs. Patrick Warburton is funny and Oliver Hudson is sooo hot.

I want to give State of Affairs a go because I enjoy Alfre Woodard's work but I can't stand Katherine Heigl.

I'm not sure I could fully commit to a show with her as the lead. Even though she's playing a character, I can't look past how ridiculous she is as a person.

Has anyone seen it? Is she annoying in it?

^ I saw it earlier, and all I can say is that I can't see this having a long run on NBC.

Kat is well just OK... and the whole plot seems like something we've seen a thousand times before...

still not sure if I can be bothered with it in the future... as I have enough political/criminal dramas already at my plate.

I started a thread for it! It's pretty good, it felt like the pilot was more a case of hitting all the right buttons rather than actually being a good episode, I also hate Katheraine to be honest, but she's actually good in it and I have a feeling we will actually be rooting for her.
TBS have ordered a 22 episode 12th season of American Dad for next year.

(yay)

Thank god. I'll never forgive Fox for canceling this and slotting in Mulaney instead.

At least this won't give them the option to take it back, chances are Fox will need to find/move another show to Sunday nights.

Members Only (the John Stamos one) has been cancelled before airing an episode on ABC and they have also given a full season pickup to Cristela.

TNT have renewed Rizzoli & Isles for a 6th season of 18 episodes and Showcase have (sadly) renewed Continuum for a fourth and final season of 6 episodes. I say sadly because it's one of the best shows on TV and season 3 was amazing, but at least we got closure I guess.

Didn't think Showcase would end another show, considering Lost Girl is also on its last season and the only other series they have is Haven which I assume is also ending after the second part of Season 5 is over.
