Haven isn't Showcase, it's Syfy. But the galling thing is CRAP like Lost Girl gets a nice big long episode order for its final season and genuinely great stuff like Continuum has to make do with 6 episodes to unravel a story as dense as anything I've ever come across on TV. In the case of Continuum though it started out huge (it holds the record for most watched single episode premiere ever on Showcase) but quickly dropped off once it became more than a crime procedural with sci fi leanings and I'd wager it's quite pricey to produce too, so it makes sense it's ending.

I know, but it's the only current foreign series that they're broadcasting.

And do NOT call Lost Girl crap, it's fantastic, though occasionally a bit camp.

Love the Continuum talk! My friend works on the show (filmed in/outside of Vancouver).

They pretty much waited to the last possible minute to renew the series, a decision was supposed to be made ages ago actually.

Yeah, Simon Barry tweeted in August that a decision was imminent. I was expecting it to be cancelled outright to be honest, usually when SyFy are involved anything other than an immediate renewal (ie just before or after season finale) = doom.

Sad to see Canadian Content that actually had vested interest in being broadcasted internationally is getting cancelled.

It seems like most vested interest is bringing American content INTO Canada rather than the other way around.

I've seen all of 5 minutes of the show, I more or less keep up with what's actually happening through my friend. It did seem to have a really dedicated following.

Omg just witnessed one of the best product placements ever. Annie Walker bribing Russians with a box of Samsung GS5's to cross the border (Covert Affairs 5x14). Hilarious.

WOW, I know BB has been rating quite well thanks to the timeslot change, but I really didn't expect it to be renewed.
Don't think anyone was expecting it. TVLine had it as effectively cancelled if I remember correctly!
Okay, I absolutely LOVED both new episodes of Glee SO much! I enjoyed every single second. If they keep up the quality for the entire season, I'm readly to forgive Ryan Murphy for everything.
Bob's Burgers making it is SUCH good news, best show on TV right now an I can't wait to see more!

The CW have just renewed a big bunch of their shows (The Flash, Supernatural, Arrow, The Vampire Diaries, The 100, Reign, The Originals, Jane The Virgin)

Tbh Jane The Virgin has helped to improve their Mondays, I was expecting it to bomb

Bloody hell that's early!!!

I would be worried if I was a fan of something not on that list tbh.

All that isn't on that list is Hart of Dixie and the two new shows starting in spring. And with one of them getting the post Flash slot I can see that getting renewed too.

Not ready for the Parenthood finale next week, no no no :(

Couldn't find an existing thread so I see no point in starting one  , but is anyone else watching Elementary? Easily the best drama on TV atm for me, this week's was exemplary and a superb culmination to what's been one of the finest arcs of the series. Where they'll go from here, I don't know, but after how good this has been, I have faith.

Also Joan's scarf this week was just FABULOUS *.*

Next bunch renewed. This time it's NBC's

The Blacklist, Law & Order: SVU, Chicago PD, Chicago Fire, Grimm

No surprises there, I guess that means Mysteries of Laura is dead then. Not that it's a huge surprise, but I thought there was like a 40% chance it might be renewed.
