After 3 years Aaron Jerome is back with a new album, due to be titled Wonder Where We Land.

 

The first single "New Dorp, New York" features the vocals of Vampire Weekend's Ezra Koenig and dropped on R1 just a few hours ago - hear it below. It doesn't sound much like his old stuff; I saw SBTRKT play Bristol O2 supporting Friendly Fires back in 2011 and they were EXCELLENT so am looking forward to this - particularly any new Sampha collabs.

Really liking 'New Dorp New York' on first listen, but I love anything with Mr Koenig.

Also, just WOW at that artwork. In love.

I see its one of 2 instant grats. Is it chart eligible? The other is a feature with Sampha called Temporary View!

NEW DORP. NEW YORK is sounding brilliant. Lovin' the minimalistic production vibes on it. Haven't really taken notice of him before but he seems like a good indie-dance producer. Temporary View is nice too

I love SBTRKT but i'm gutted to say I don't like 'New Dorp New York'!

 

Hopefully it will be a grower, but it just doesn't seem to do anything for me.

It was instant to me, and I'm a big fan of his self titled debut. Have you tried "Temporary View" w/Sampha? That's more his old style.

I love the new single, going to get it on Sunday!

So this has leaked! I've only just found this out so haven't given it a listen yet.

Loving the direction of it from what I've heard so far though, especially loving 'Higher' at the moment.

Now thats more like it, such a banger and very similar to his earlier stuff! Saying that 'New Dorp' is growing on me...

The official video for "New Dorp. New York" is out, it completely baffles me. But it doesn't matter because the track continues to grow on me - THAT deep/funky bassline. :wub:
