September 3, 201410 yr Solo Mollie Jingle Bell Rock hidden track please. Mollie was in the studio with Alfie  I feel a 'Puppy Love' duet coming on  Will be no patch on S Club 8's tho
September 3, 201410 yr Oh Christ on a bike you've got to be JOKING? is that Chritmas single potential lyrics there? ;)
September 3, 201410 yr I really, really cannot see this album happening. We know. You say it pretty much every time it's discussed!

September 3, 201410 yr No shade intended, but Christmas albums usually only work when the artist is very vocally talented/unique and can add something to those drab and overused songs. Unfortunately I do not see them accomplishing that. Not to mention Christmas albums appeal to an older audience and even if they get a Strictly spot I can't see many old folks picking up a Saturdays release regardless of the content of the album. Definitely a waste of a release. If they're trying to keep costs down they might as well put all the fan favorites on an album and release that. #JusticeForWildfire

This! They are very good, but if anything their three recent covers ('When Love Takes Over', 'On The Radio' and 'Love Comes Down') have shown that they really don't add anything at all to the songs they cover. The tracks themselves are good, yes, but anyone could have served us these covers. Which is a shame because I'm not necessary shading the girls as I believe that when they get into the Live Lounge and cover stuff, they definitely put their stamps on it a lot more than they do in studios. I can already hear the autotune on Frankie's voice in a cover of a Christmas song...No one's gonna take them seriously. And it does feel obvious that they are trying to sell it on the back of Strictly and its more mature audience, but no Grandma is going to pick up a Saturdays album, Christmas or not.

[/indent] In that case they must cover cult classic (of Essex FM) Grandma Got Runover by a Reindeer
September 3, 201410 yr To save costs they should just re-release S Club Juniors - Puppy Love. Which only Calvin really sang on. They could do the other part of the double A-side though in Sleigh Ride and just record over the none Frankie and Rochelle parts.
September 6, 201410 yr Sorry, just realised the news about the Christmas album was posted on the last page. It's only just been posted on ATRL so I thought it might have been new news!
September 6, 201410 yr A Christmas album is worth a try. They can't get airplay with "normal" singles so maybe a Christmas single (a new one that isn't hammered every single year) will get the job done. There's more chance of them getting airplay with a Christmas song in Q4 than they are with a normal release. Same with the album release, people might just pick it up because it's a Xmas album and they want something to play in the background or in the car or for the kids. I don't know. But let's face it, another traditional album and single release will flop harder than the Greatest Hits. This at LEAST has POTENTIAL to POSSIBLY revive their career a little bit.
September 6, 201410 yr I agree with Shadow in that a Christmas single is their best chance, even if its still only a very small chance, of getting some airplay with another single this year. It worked incredibly well for Leona and 'One More Sleep' who admittedly did still have a little bit of airplay support from 'Trouble' but not much, but it was a fantastic song and it got the great airplay it deserved. The only way it could work is if they have a fantastic original Christmas song ready for us but for some reason I can't see it being as good/appealing as the likes of 'One More Sleep'.
September 6, 201410 yr Author As much as I love some of their dancey tracks, it's good that they'll be going back to pop for this as no Christmas song is dance pop really!
September 6, 201410 yr I hope they at least have an original as the single. A Christmas cover as a single will be a disaster.
